Any Mini-B USB cord will work. Its a fairly common cord size. So if you have an older digital camera the cord from that should be the same. Most modern cells use a Micro-USB, but if you got an older cell the transfer cable from that might be a Mini-B.

Or buy a replacement. Newegg or Amazon both will have them for less then 5 bucks. You can find them at most electronic stores, them just might costa little more.
Search for Mini-B USB cord/cable.

do you use standard mini usb cable? if yes, try to use the original usb cable came along with the player when you bought it, if it remains the same, try to plug to the other usb port of your PC

RCA opal 4g mp3 player - bought about 2 years ago - the power/transfer(?) cord is usb on one end and mini plug on the other end. My 2 computers do not read it anymore to charge the unit or to download...

if its mini usb then you can get that cord just about anywhere if its a custom cable then you'll have to goto the rca website and order one from them

Usb cable

Players use standard USB, Mini USB, or Micro USB. I believe the one in title uses Mini USB cable.
To get a replacement cable go to any computer shop or camera shop and buy a Mini USB cable, take the player with you and show it to the shop assistant to ensure you are buying the right cable.
Regards.

My computer wont reconize my mp3 player

Down load the firmware on Sansa's website. I have a Sansa 250R and it wouldn't work with the new replacement usb (Griffin) cord I bought at Best Buy. So I bought a Sansa Fuze and the cord that came with it worked on the E250R. Huh? Yeah, go figure...and oh, that replacement Griffin usb cord I bought worked fine with the new Fuze. I came real close to buying a new battery for the E250R but instead invested that money in the Fuze.

Ipod mini syncing

I am having great success with a Dynex brand usb cord on this model. Is your computer running Windows Vista by any chance? You may need an extar driver from Apple's website if this is the case.

My Dell MP3 Player Won't Charge

I had the same problem for weeks. Very frustrating. Try the following as it brought my pocket dj back to life. I found that (while plugged into an AC adapter) by inserting a paper clip in the hole on the bottom (reset button) and holding it there for 5 secs it would power cycle the dj then the charging icon would appear in the top left corner, however it did go away after 5 icon flashes. I did this repeatedly. I noticed that every time I pwr cycled it , I got more icon flashes and it would charge for a bit longer. Finally it charged completely. Weird but this is what worked for my player.
