Purchased last year - enjoyed camera as a deer scouting tool. Set camera yesterday; however, camera wouldn't take any pics, etc. Diagnostic run shows an error code = 000500. Anyone know what that might be? Thanks.

use a usb/mini usb adapter cable...one comes with new Moultrie i-40/i-60 cams, or get one for Blacberry or Sony cellphones...same fit...older d-40 cams use different size.Plug cable between pc and cam;go to"My Computer"...should show a HDD identified as Moultrie. Doulbe click...enjoy pics; no software needed.
hopefully you're using XP...easy solution....use the usb cord that came with the camera;plug into camera usb port;plug other end into usb port on pc/laptop;turn camera on..."found new hardware" wizard should pop up asking for cd with driver etc.;tell the wiz you want to choose driver from a list....a list of manufacturers will be on left/models on right...don't look, Moultrie ain't there, but GENERIC is...choose Generic;scroll down right column to find imaging devices;choose...a warning that it" may not be compatible...;ignor and choose...it will work and you'll get a prompt that hardware is ready to use...go to start/my computer/double click on drive id'd as "digital cam drive;MOULTRIE CAM, OR HOWEVER YOUR COMPUTER ID'S IT;a folder will pop up;double click;a sub-folder;double click, ect.,until you see the pics. Enjoy... Ron L.
I'll bet the lcd is same as for D-40,M-40,M-60,I-40,I-60,ECT. email moultriefeeders.com and tell them you have a gamecam with a defective lcd and could they please send you a replacement...they will at no charge to you, even free shipping...with instructions...this is a known issue with MANY Moultrie models
