My Emachine desktop computer model ET1641-02W shuts off 2-3 seconds after turning it on

It could be that it is overheating, see my tip here: http://www.fixya.com/support/r6789964-pc_overheating

Or your PC might have the a virus that has infected your boot settings. Try boot into safe mode by pressing the F8 key while your computer boots. If it still reboots then there is no way you can run a virus scan on the drive and you may need to format and re-install Windows.

Computer shuts down unexpectedly

Your Computer is overheating and is shutting down to protect it's self from damage. Your Computer needs to be serviced/cleaned of any and all dust. Pay special attention to the CPU cooler and graphics card. Install as many fans as possible.

Emachines ET1810 desktop computer randomly powers down for seemingly no reason. Doesn't crash or freeze, just turns off, as if the plug was pulled. Started about 5-6 months after buying.

It could be overheating, and automatically shutting itself down, to avoid any damage.

Did you get the standard 12 month warranty when you purchased the computer? Did you purchase "extended" warranty? If so, contact Emachines, and get them to trouble-shoot and fix it.

I put xp on my Emachine W3615 and nothing works now

See if you could get Ubuntu Linux. This operating system, should work out of the box. If you can get the CD, you could also try using it without actually installing it.

EMachines t3626 shuts down at random

You may be dealing with bad or overheating with your processor or memory. If possible, try swapping out your memory chips to see if that does the trick. If not, you will have to try swapping out the processor (much less likely you'll be able to swing that).

Stays on for less than 60 seconds

Blow out the computer with canned air. If the heatsink is full of dust then its overheating. Dont leave it on over night either.
