Red Vertical bars cover the right 1/4 of the screen. They starting appearing sporadically several weeks ago and would go away, now they stay on the screen, regardless of video input ..

Try resetting the TV to the factory settings. If the issue persists, try power resetting the TV. Turn Off the TV and remove the power plug from the wall outlet for 1 minute and reconnect it and check the operation. If the issue still persists, then the TV requires service.

My sony reader looses battery power while turned off. I have heard people read several books on one charge while I left my book untouched for less then a week and my battery is at less then 1 bar. Is this...

If you will not use the Reader for 1 week, the battery will be drained. This is normal operation. But, if the Reader is showing only 1battery bar within less than a week even after charging it fully, there might be an issue occcured with the Reader. In that case, please chekc whether you've charged the Reader by connetcing the Reader to a USB version 2.0 port of the Computer.
If the issue still occurrs, please try resetting the Reader by pressing the RESET button using a sharp-pointed object.
Above mentioned steps should resolve the issue. If the issue still persists, service of the Reader may required.

I have a Sony KDF-E55A20 rear projection, it will shut off pic/sound for 15 seconds then come back on for 15 min...then the same...I had a problem with this about 3 weeks ago and cleaned the bulb vents and...

Hopefully it's still under warranty or you purchased an extended warranty. My concern is that it is either a power supply issue or a lamp ballast issue. If it has overheating in the past then there may be other issues going on.
Would suggest bringing it into a good trusted service shop.

Sony cybershot dsc-11

The ccd sensor in the t1 is faulty. i've had mine for over 5 years, about 2 years ago, i took a trip to san fran. hoping to snap wonderful pics with my camera. When i arrived i snapped a few pics only to realize later, that all the camera had captured was a white screen. i did some internet searching and found a page, much like this one explaining that the ccd is faulty. i called sony and explained my issue, and they informed me that the ccd is indeed faulty, and that they had a free repair service for it. my camera was fixed for free, and currently is as good as new. the bad news in all of this is that, the free repair service was canceled no more than a few weeks after my incident..... good luck.

Will not power off

This seems to be a common issue with this camera as several have been on ebay for sale with this exact issue.
evidently the circuit scr that controls the power off is bad and requires a complete dissembly to repair.

Help!

This problem is not related to plugging your camera into your computer. This is a symptom we have seen many times with various Sony cameras over several years of production. As far as we have been able to determine it is a problem with the sensor that feeds back the position of the zoom motor. I had a camera just a few days ago with this exact same issue. I swapped out the controller board and it did not change the behavior at all. I would suggest either sending the camera to a repair facility, or returning it to the manufacturer for service if you wish to get it repaired. The resolution will probably involve replacement of the set of sensors that feed-back the lens position to the control board. This issue is a problem with most Sony cameras, and as I said we have seen it several times and have not yet been able to identify the source. We forward cameras with this behavior on to Sony for service. David Millier Advance Camera Repair
