The spring on the battery door fell off and I can not find the spring. I really like this camera and would like to have it repaired. Is this worth fixing?

I have the same problem. In the interim I have used a small piece of aluminum foil for each battery.
Did you find a place to get replacement spring?

My Coolpix S6100 battery latch broke. Can I get a replacement?

As of Sept 2 2016 there are several for sale on eBay, for about 7 dollars to about 12 dollars.
Search for "battery door", not battery latch.

Tip

LOST SOUND AFTER BATTERY REPLACEMENT.

If you experience no sound (alarm) from your watch after battery replacement, that means the coil spring fell out of watch while the battery has been replaced. Coil spring is transmitting vibrations from watch movement to the sound membrane at the back cover of watch, and if it is lost, there is no physical body to transmit signal, thus no sound. Coil spring itself is quite tiny and can be easily lost without even noticing it, mostly because it is not soldered to the watch movement or sound membrane and as soon as the opened watch is turned over, the coil spring fells out. If you are not able to find the coil spring in/around the place where the battery change took place, there is no other solution but to visit your nearest watch repair shop and ask to fit new one. In case if you are lucky enough to find the coil spring, fit it back in to appropriate hole in watch movement inserting out-bent end into movement. In most watches coil spring holes are marked: C.SPRING/COIL SPRING/ C.S or similar. Hope it helps.

Battery door metall batterry connectors fell out

When you can't close the battery door as it should be closed, you can't turn on the camera. In almost all digital cameras there is a protection switch, that prevents the camera to work, with an open battery door, because the camera could stop any moment when the battery comes loose. When the camera was accessing the memory, when it falls without power, the memory can be damaged and you could loose all the pictures saved on the memory card.
I'm afraid, when the battery door came out, some things are missing, like a spring, axel and perhaps some other little metal or plastic things. To come out, some mechanical damage must be there, so it won't be easy to reinstall the door yourself.
Bet thing you can do is show it in a service centre and ask if it can be repaired and what it will cost.
Service manuals, with pictures about all parts, are only sold to approved repair centres.
The only chance to find anything, is on ifixit dot com, because they have manuals and videos of lots of electronic stuff for free.
Repair over there is on your own risk.

Hi, I have a canon A630power shot, for overa week now i cannot get it to power on but it never comes on.How cani fix this

Take a blade screwdriver and rub the end of it on the contact surfaces of the battery termanels In the lower end of the battery hole use a flashlight if needed. then visualy place the batteries in the battery holes making sure they extend high enough to create contact with the cover if not gently pry up the lower terminals to create this effect. now make sure the upper battery contacts are clean by rubbing them with the screw driver end then make sure they extend above the plactic in them if not bend them so as to have a good spring pressure on the batteries. then try turning on camera, the high amps needed to turn the camera on will cause a minute arc that then is a open cicuit and not allow camera to turn on, also the open and closing of battery door for the sd card will cause tension to be lost in the contacts. don't be afraid if you have to really push the door down to close. Hope this works for you.

Things to check first for a camera that won't turn on are battery contact points, and micro switches that are located on the battery and memory card doors. As you mentioned the door fell off, would recommend focusing your attention on inspecting the door switch and the plastic nib that pushes in on it. Troubleshooting tips on other things that need to be checked may be seen here. These tips won't work for every case, but they're worth a try.

Casio Databank 150

If your databank is like mine (DB-35H), there is a TINY spring in a really unusual spot that you probably didn't notice that fell out. Laying the watch face down and with the back off, there is a little tiny hole in the back towards one of the corners. (sorry, already put my watch back together and didn't notice which corner.) There is a tiny (1/16" x 1/4") spring that sits upright in that hole. It must make a contact with the metal cover. I replaced my battery and when I did, a spring fell out. I looked all over the internet, then wrote Casio, who said they didn't have access to the information about where the spring went. (Doh!) I got a used DB-35H from my brother and was going to swap the innards when I noticed the spring on his. Put my spring back and it beeps! If you've lost the spring, don't know if you can fake it with tinfoil or not, but it really is a TINY spring. Good luck.
