Most likely the power supply or one of the boards has failed. This cannot be fixed with guesswork.

You will have to give the set in for service.

Ihave a insignia ns-lcd47hd-09 tv. when i press the power button the light turns blue but no picture comes on only black screen.

I think your insignia is set for SHOP mode instead of HOME mode. I changed mine to HOME and it's working fine now. Press your menu button and then scroll down to setup. You're looking for Plug and PLay which should be the very first choice. If it's greyed out as mine was you'll have to change your imput from HDMI to TV in order to get to the P&P. Once you're in the Plug and Play your first choice is language. The second should be SHOP or HOME. Make sure to select HOME. You can skip scanning for channels. This fixed my problem with the blue light. The store uses SHOP so if someone plays around and changes something, all they have to do is shut off the TV and turn it back on. Please let me know if this works.

I have had my Bose Cinemate for a few years, and had it hooked up to a Sony Wega tv with no issues. I just purchased an Insignia tv, trying to upgrade the size of my tv. The problem is, I cannot see that...

The TV probably has a lot of video 'inputs' but very few 'outputs' (outlets??). It's main output is to light the room with moving pictures.

So the unidentified Insignia TV may be a Monitor (no speakers). TV's and Monitors only NEED sources of video. Hi-fi sound systems can (and should) handle all audio duties as that is their specialty.

WHY would anyone NEED audio FROM a TV if the programming for it originates elsewhere like a Cable Box/DVD/SAT which probably has a digital sound output (much better than some old red/white analog stereo-only audio)?

Does the Insignia ns-2brdvd digital opt. output work with HDMI

Below is what your manual says abour it. From hardware perspective, when you have a disc in there the optical audio driver is active and so is the HDMI audio. To verify, lift the lid on the optical interface and you will see a red or blue light on the inside. Don't look directly at it! View from the side.Plug that into your home theater system, select that input on your home theater and you should be good to go.

Insignia 27 inch lcd tv gets no video or audio

the most common item that fails with all LCDs is the power invertor or power supply, and that sounds like what your set is needing is the capacitors have possibly failed on the Invertor
