Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My lappy hard disk is giving status that hard disk failure try to install in other location. then i connected it to my pc to take backup

Not sure I understand your Question... or maybe you are making a statement? But, it sounds like your hard drive (HD) is dead, no good , non useable... So what are your options? Purchase another hard drive, you should have received system backup disk or install disk with your laptop , you can use them to reinstall the operating system (OS) Windows on the new hard drive. There is a slight possibility you could try them (the install disk) to re-install your OS on your original HD, but again it sounds like your HD is dead.

If you have never made a back up of you hard Drive, then all your data (pic, documents, game, contacts) are lost. The problem most people don't understand is if the hard drive crashes for physical reasons, the spring breaks inside, or a diode burns out, then the data on the disk are lost.

You may also take your laptop to a computer repair shop near you and they can tell you more about your options.

I need to recover information from my damaged Hitachi Life studio

If the hard drive is damaged then it is near impossible to recover your data without expert help.
There are companies that can recover data from faulty hard drives BUT it will cost you an arm and a leg for their services.
Check the Internet for companies near you that can service hard drives.

Portable DVD player DRC6338 has malfunctionned. Require warranty information asap that has been lost.

Contact RCA warranty company and give them the model number, serial number and date of purchase. If it is still under warranty, they will have it documented under this information. Good luck and let me know how it goes.

No light- not detected by computer-humming sound

Hi Mary

It sound like you have a dieing hard drive . If you unplug it and leave it for 2 minutes then plug it back in to see if a 'cold start' will help it. If you do get it running get all the pictures/files/documents of it as soon as possible. And don't use it again.

Seagate have a program for testing there hard drives at

http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/support/downloads/seatools

download and install it and see if it can help.

If it still wont run and you have photographs/files/documents that you need of the drive you will have to look at data recovery.

I fix a lot of computers and over the past 2 years I've come across 4 Seagate drives that have failed and only one other brand .I don't know whats happening with the company because years ago they were the best hard drives you could get but now from personal experience I would give Seagate hard drives a wide berth.

Hope this helps

Alistair

Harddrive rings like a Cell phone

That is a humorous description of a failed hard drive I'm afraid. They either work or they don't. For a premium some companies can attempt to retrieve any data, but otherwise the drive is unreliable at best even if it does give up data to you at some point. Drives are very cheap today, but your lost data, that is another story. I use redundant drives now for backup of everything, since I've lost everything once before.

Lost files

it depends if you formatted the hard drive you would probably... if you didn't you are lucky because you can probably find most of your old files under C:\documents and settings

if you did indeed format your hard drive, you may have to spend hundreds if not thousands on data recovery, im sorry that as far as that goes im not sure what company or service can guarantee your files back, i don't know which to refer you to.

Good luck!
