Question about Kenmore 73262 / 73264 / 73269 Top Freezer Refrigerator
We have a Kenmore freezer over refrigerator., 2.5 years old. Whenever we close the fridge door, the freezer door opens then closes again. I have noticed ice building up along the inside of the freezer and near the gasket where the warm air is getting in. What can I do to prevent this? ( besides train my family to hold the freezer closed as they close the fridge door! LOL!!!) Thanks! Marge
There is a small electric heater along the door gasket where you see the frost building up, this heater has apparently stopped working. this will also cause the door to pop open due to a poor seal. feel around where the door gasket contacts the refrigerator and it should feel a little warm. if not then a service company can replace those heaters. should not be too expensive.
