It may have not been inserted properly. After making sure that it has been locked in, run the clean cartridge command on the printer interface on the computer or on the printer itself.

The indication is only an aproximation. If you refil your cartridges or use reworked cartridges the printer will record them as empty.

Hi Folks: I would appreciate any help and suggestions: HP DesignJet 1055CM error 0A0020 006501D1 Thanks, Paul

"Error in calibrating the APS sensor"

APS= Air Pressure System - it provides air pressure to pump in to the ink cartridges, thus pumping ink to the printheads through the ink tubes.

First things to try
- Remove all Ink cartridges.
- Power down printer.
- Power on.
- Place cartridges in ink supply station, check if they are recognized.

- Replace the one cartridge that is almost empty.

- Check all cables and air tubes in the ink supply station. (you need to remove left cover of printer)
Make sure they are all properly connected and not damaged.
Make sure the air tubes are free running - NOT pinched or bent!

- Lastly,
When all above fails, replace faulty APS sensor and / or pressure valve.

Refilled my hp officejet 6500 but the printer shows empty cartrages, should I do something with the chip?

What Chip?
The ink volume usually is controlled by the software that comes with the printer....You may want to re-install the software that came with the computer first.

I ran out of ink in my HP Photosmart C6280 printer. I installed and the printer will work if you use the kep pad, but it will not work from the computer still thinks the two inks are empty. I've restarted,...

ok,i don know whether what im giving is a solution, but if u run out of ink,one temporary solution is to use a hair drier on the catridge,it will declog any ink that is left...It should work for 20 to 30 pages more until u finally have to replace the catridge

I replaced my hp ink catridges and the printer is still saying the ink is empty. What do I do?

You haven't mentioned what printer model but you can try th following.
Firstly, try removing your new cartridge and temporarily putting the old one back. Sometimes this will then show as a full cartridge even though it is empty, because the sensor electronics appears to get confused. Next, turn off your printer and turn it back on again, then take the old cartridge out and put the new one back. I cannot guarantee this will work, but it will be worth a try.

After installing the new ink, it will print a paper for U. put that paper in the scanner and press scan. It's a self-calibration. If that's not the problem, please state what the problem is.

New Ink cartridges registering as empty ...

Is it an HP printer? We had the same problem at work with print cartridges purchased at Staples. They have a major quality control problem. Your new print cartridge may be empty or dried out (died on the shelf). It's my problem at work, as I have over 80 HP deskjets, and Purchasing still insists on buying the Staples cartridges rather than the HP.

Sometimes if you shake a print cartridge really hard it may correct the problem. However, I would buy or borrow a black HP print cartridge and try it out in your printer. Works almost every time on the job. Good luck.
