You see it often with guys which , when scratching , put the pitch often at full load and pressing the platter too hard. the capacitors ain't in a great shape after all those years and then the chance that the transformer gives up , is good possible. My technics mk-5 has a 60.000 uF buffer, which is ok since I also listen a lot vinyl and the noisy parts are removed/replaced, Offcourse the pus is outside the turntable.

Looking at the vestax, which I have a lot units from , but allways replaced the caps when I bought one second hand and never had
problems with the motor or transformer, where a lot of people's complain about. The motor and transformer are nothing wrong with . Often is maintenance the problem.

You have a short in your unit, and you will need professional assistance in determining the cause. You might also want to try a different outlet. If it fails, then you'll need to bring it to a service center for repair.

40 amp. fuse keeps blowing out on 2008 harley

You have a short. Check the insulation on all wiring that carries + voltage - possible that some wire may have lost insulation and is abutting some metal part shorting it out.

I have a 3 year old Panasonic CT-32HXC14J TV. It has been working fine until today. When I tried to turn it on the internal (6.3amp/125v fuse) blew. I went to get a new one and could only find a 4 pack...

Hello sjday62

It sounds as if you have a component that has changed value enough in value to cause a high current draw, but has not completely shorted out. this phrase from you "so I did a stupid thing and bypassed the internal fuse and it turned on and worked" Not as stupid as you would think because it confirms what I said above, the 6.3 amp fuse tells me that the current draw normally is about 3 amperes since the normal rule of thumb is to double the value of the current to select the type of fuse. a five amp fuse should as well as a 4 amp fuse (it's best and recommended to use the exact fuse type). Now back to your issue. I would suspect that a transformer in the power chain has developed a shorted winding, or a capacitor begun to develop a short or excessive absorption.

I would suggest that you have the set looked at by a qualified TV technician.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,

Protection displayed and shuts off

The protect message indicates that the output amp section has a problem. Normally this requires the replacement of the output transistors or the output amp pac. Expect the repair cost to be about $20-$60 for parts plus the local labor rate.

Hok up amp and all fuses blow on distribution block

somehow, DC car voltage has gotten to the speaker outputs of your amp! your fuses are saving your speakers from meltdown. your amp has melted down. toss it after checking with ohmeter as follows: disconnect amp completely. red wire from ohmmeter to +12Vin. black wire to SPK+. if ohms are anything below 1000 ohms, then toss it. An electrical short is equivalent to flooding your entire house with a leaky faucet. No telling what that rapid current will encounter along the amplifier section. you could get lucky and find all power MOSFETS have shorted and replace them. good luck.
