SOURCE: ps3 jammed disc

Unfortunately their is no step by step or guaranteed method to fix this. Here are a few things you could try: turning it off and on, press/hold the eject button, resetting while holding the eject button, shaking or tapping it a little while trying to eject it, holding it different ways ex. face disc opening down towards floor while gently tapping and pressing the eject button. Essentially do whatever you can to get the disc to jar loose, >but whatever you do, don't for any reason stick anything in the slot or try to open the case <Doing this will void the warranty for sure! If none of these work your last resort would be to return it for a new one (providing you still have your receipt and it's less than a year old) or take it to a costly repair guy.

SOURCE: System wont load or eject any discs...

Remove the disc drive from the console. Remove the cover very carefull. Take the top part off (remove the 5 screws) and open the disc drive like a book.
Carefull remove the guide mechanism (the front part -1 screw).
The clicking noise is caused by the fact that the left side mechanism that raises and loweres the deck when the disk is inserted or ejected is stuck. Carefull push back the piece of plastic with teeth located on the left side of the deck (as you are looking at the disk drive the oposite side with the lens driving motor) until it clears complete the plastic round gear that drives that part.
mount back the guide mechanism, and the top part.
Attached the ribbon cables to the unit , power the console and keep the eject button pushed for about 10-15 seconds.
That will reset all the gears and stuff.
Worked for me when I experienced that issue.

Ps3 disc wont eject at all. have tried holding it in horizontal, vertical, diagonal and upside down positions but still wont eject.

Hi, i'm assuming you have a phatty PS3. Let's try this:
  • - turn off the ps3 with the main switch, behind the console
  • - press the EJECT touch-key on the front, HOLD on it while you turn on the console with the main switch... keep holding the eject key, if it'll work you'll get your disc out.
  • - If it won't work just try a couple of times more then if you don't succeed please advise me with more information about your PS3 model and I'll try to bring you other solutions :)

Disc wont eject red mains light flashing

Turn off your PS3 entirely. Then, flip the backswitch and Eject button at the same time. The cooling fans will start to blow at max capacity to blow out all the interior dust. even ejects discs

Put a playstation 1 game in my ps3 an it wont eject out it beeps twice

Currently the problem i see here is that you may want to get your disc out first and then check if your PS3 is working fine

Here's what you need to do to eject the disc:

Hold Eject button down for 6 seconds (while PS3 is on)

This should force eject the disc, let me know if this helps

I am not sure which version of PS3 you are having and which ps1 game you are playing, so please check about backward compatibility of your game here

Wont accept disc

Try this....after a lot of frustration and research, what i found on the internet for this problem was usless. I tried holding down the eject button for 15 seconds to reset the disc drive, still it would'nt accept the disc. As i literally picked up the phone to ring sony, as the ps3 was on standby i pressed the eject button multiple times and heard 2 beeps each time, still the system stayed on standby. After that i then tried just putting the disc in as normal as its on standby and the system booted automatically and accepted my disc. I hope this helps others, as mine now works perfectly.
