How do u work the olympus slr all in one camer 28-120mm

First of all, thank you very much for choosing FIXYA today for your online technical support needs.

Here is a direct link to the ONLINE USER'S MANUAL for that model:

http://www.olympusamerica.com/files/oima_cckb/IS50_manual_english.pdf

To view the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and blue highlighted section of text just above.

This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents, although many computers already have this type of utility pre-installed.

You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary. Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.

I truly hope that was helpful to you.

Good luck and take care.

Joe.

Is there a way to turn off the flash?

The flash is automatic, you cannot control the flash. But you can put some black tape over the flash if you really don't want flash. Remember though, if the camera meter decides flash is needed, then your pictures could turn out dark/underexposed by covering the flash.

The manual can be found here: http://www.olympus-europa.com/consumer/208_manuals.cfm?prodID=P_N1246352

The manual says use 100, 200 or 400 iso films.

Maybe try high iso film like 800 iso or 1600 iso, best to try this out ahead of time to make sure you are satisfied with the results. The high iso films need less light so should perform better without flash, but the camera may not be able to rate these films correctly, trial and error is definitely required.

What does "protected card" mean? I have a 2GB Kodak memory card in my Fujifilm/12.2 camera. Lost manuel. Thanks.

It means that the card has been write protected thru the menu program in the camera. To fix this, you will have to go thru the menu and set it to unprotected.
Obtaining a manual for this camera is as simple as going to the Fuji website and downloading the manual in PDF format to your computer.
