I think it's not a problem with your projector, but more a problem with how you extend your desktop from your computer to your projector. I assume that you are plugging in through Svideo so right click on the desktop and click on properties, then go to the settings panel, then click once on the big number 2 and click on apply, if this doesn't fix it, go to that same settings panel and change the resolution to 800x600

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Video thumbnails on my computer wont show up on laptop. The exact files on my PC show thumbnails of videos fine. Is there any software I have to download for my laptop to show the thumbnails?

Open the folder where the files are stored.
Click on 'Tools'
Click on 'Folder Options'
Click on the 'View' tab.
Check the box that says "Do not cache thumbnails"
Click ok.

I hope that fixes it.

Projector only displays desktop wall paper not laptop images

stop the dual monitor moded and it will project what is on the Desktop screen

for this right click on desktop -> properties -> (on the window) Settings here take away the check box for "Extend my Windows desktop to this monitor" and you can have what ever is displayed on your desktop on the screen

but if you keep the the existing setup then you can just drag the windows to the right or left edges and it will move on to the screen and you can use the projector image as an extended monitor, this will be useful when you want to have your presentation and your background work/ Document seperate from the viewing audience, try it you may like it

cheers

When importing pictures from either camera or SD

vista is causing the error. its a sucky op sys. have you considered downgrading, or perhaps putting ubuntu in as a second op sys from within windows? i would say that probably vista has the wrong drivers loaded for god knows how many of your devices. could be video, or video and card reader, and cam. if it works fine in xp, than at least you know your hardware and your card and cam are ok. you could honestly spend a week or a minute trying to find a reason why vista does freaky things but the reality is that its just unstable, clunky and a poor, poor excuse for an op sys. 80 percent of people who have vista dump it within the first 90 days of owning the pc or laptop.

Windows Explorer sends continuously error messages

Turning off thumbnails will probably stop you getting that error

DO:
Open Control Panel > Folder Options > Always show Icons, Never Thumbnails

However, this isn't actually fixing the problem.

Do you have Nero installed by any chance?

If so try:
Open Computer > System Drive > Program files > Common Files > Ahead > DSfilter.
Rename "NeroVideoProc.ax" to "1NeroVideoProc.ax"
Also rename "NeVideo.ax" to "1NeVideo.ax"

And then reboot.

How to connect to toshiba projector my computer so i can view from my monitor and the screen

Projectors typically require RCA (yellow - round - single pin) or S-Video (black - round - multipin) connections. Look for a key on your keyboard that has a monitor symbol on it (sometimes 2 symbols - on/off). Once you have connected the projector and turned it on, tap the monitor key and you should see your desktop projected. I've also seen laptops where you need to enable the secondary display thru the 'Display Settings'.

The pictures on my compac presario laptop model V5305WM look like negatives, or xrays. This problem appeared overnight.

Are you talking about the thumbnail view or when you open the pictures in a specific program? Please check the program settings viz. view, edit, tools etc. and see for any option to invert colors or so..
If this doesn't help then you may also check the display settings for your monitor.. however that shouldn't just affect the pictures on the computer , anyway..

PhotosuiteIII, yes it is OLD, will not allow me to access the individual photos in an album. I can see the thumbnails and the file names, but it is sending me back to the source file to get the picture,...

the album file only includes the thumbnail and a link to the disk file. If you have moved or deleted the original image you have to browse to it
