My Wii makes an annoying buzzing sound

When I put a disk into the game slot on the Wii it begins to make an annoying buzzing noise when it loads. This only occurs when I put a game disc in but never when i am using a different channel. For example if I put a game in and it loads it starts buzzing, but then if I go to the Mii channel the buzzing will stop, but when I exit the Mii channel the buzzing starts when it loads again. Please I need help it is the most annoying thing ever!

I have the same problem. It didn't make the high pitch buzzing noise until several months after we owned it. I'm sure this is not normal. Any ideas?

it will make this weird buzzing sound and spit out any disk I put in the game box, no matter what, even if it is a brand new game

You should look up wii buzzing noise solution and get the screw drivers online. My wii makes an annoying sound and it says it can't read the disc or an error has occured. So I'm going to get the screw drivers and try to fix it

Ya I have the same problem but don't really know whats going on with it. I don't think its the Disc. I think it something with the reader.

I think thats normal. If your really annoyed about it, Play some music that cancels out the noise. I'm sure the in-game music your playing should go over the buzzing noise.

My Wii will freeze and make a buzzing sound during a game.

Hello sir, hi!. the buzzing sound could be the spindle motor that spins the disk got loose. If the WII is on warranty, bring it back to your dealer for replacement.

Hi, unfortunately my Wii fell onto the carpet last

i think that the laser inside the disk drive has skipped

lets say the laser moves from a to b (a is the start)(b is the end)

the laser might of jumped to b but the console still thinks it is at a and it keeps trying to move it towards b but it cant go any further because the laser tracks stop

you could open the console up and test the drive or replace the disk drive

My wii is making a loud buzzing sound, what do I do?

My friends Wii does the same. As long as the Wii isn't lagging, glitching, or randomly shutting off while in use, everything is alright. Also, make sure your Wii is able to read disks properly, because that is the main cause that leads to the buzzing noise. If the noise is to annoying to stand, call Nintendo, and ask for a repair to be done, I'm sure they will fix it up. Hope this helps!

Loaded game = loud buzzing

After removing the casing, all that need to be done was loosen (yes, loosen) a screw on the inner frame about a quarter turn. This allowed a little movement to the frame and stopped the buzzing.

Wii makes a buzzing sound when discs are running

The noise is the wii working extra hard to read the disk the lens might be dirty. Your wii might also have a bomb in it.............Just kidding. I would try cleaning the inside and if all is bad send it in to get fixed

Wii makes squeaking/chirping noise

This is a hardware failure. Sending it Nintendo is the only option. Unless you think you have the skills to repair it yourself. Here is the link to Nintendo
http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/repair/repair_options.jsp
If you want to repair it yourself you need a wii dvd drive. Any version works.

Wii wont take in CD!

sounds like slot disc loading mechanism gearing is misaligned.. Slot drives are difficult to fiddle with, I suggest you try to get this repaired under warranty, (don't mention that you dropped it though, just say it stopped working)
