Ringtone volume problem

When I set the ringtone with the volume control set to 5 it is fine, but when someone rings me the volume is very quiet and I can't hear it so get loads of missed calls. I have tried all sorts of settings to change this but can't find anything. Can any one help please.

Hey guys...ive had a look round on a few sites and found that it is possible to make the mp3's on your phone louder...but how?

i tryed this way

(Hidden Menu: *#8999*8378#

Make MP3 sound louder:
1. hit: *#8999*8378#
2. hit: 2, and then 2 again.
3. then on IIS NORMAL (or hit 9)
4. then on "Rx vol."
5. for level 10, click 0
then save)

any suggestions guys

thanx

Do you have it on vibrate along with the ringtone? sometimes they place the vibrate under the speaker so you can barely hear the ringtone if it's on vibrate..

How do I get the ring tone on my phone to work?

These smartphones controls all sounds with the volume rocker, the only problem is that it controls only what is currently being use. Just go to any ringtone and tap it in order to play it. While it's playing, use the volume rocker up to raise the sound.

How do I turn the ringer on? Its working but no sound.

there are a few reasons that it may not be ringing. First is that the notifications volume and ringer volume have been set to have different volumes. You can check this by tapping on the apps button (default is lower-right on home screen) then go to settings, and depending on your version of firmware installed, (i have sprint galaxy S3 SPH-L710 running stock KitKat 4.4.2 and will attempt to post screenshots for guidance) there may be tabs on top labelled "Connections," "My Device," "Accounts," and "More." If you don't have these tabs then you should be able to see the Sound option. First check if the volume is turned up. Go to Soundc6a656f1-4791-4f87-9acb-e3be763a3278.png and then Volume 14d9b527-0149-4679-b7a1-eb5b0d735ed3.pngand check to see that the sliders are towards the right (my phone is on silent due to not wanting to disturb anyone as it's night time.) If they are, then press OK and check the ringtone is not set to a quiet ringtone or silent. 0ece8ac0-472e-4027-8341-04bc4779b666.png Have someone place a test call

Hello patty,

Depending on the brand and model of your phone, there usually is a volume control on the side of your cellphone. If it doesn't have one, please reply here and indicate the brand and model of your phone.

Motorola w377

Like most of the W377, this one's very odd. The only way I know how to do this is to switch off all Key tones. Key volume is part of the Ring Style menu, so:

>Settings
>Ring Style
>Ring Detail
>Change
> On the Detail menu use the 4 way selector arrows to cursor down to Key Volume
>Change
>0
>Ok
>Back out

NB The Ring Style settings for ALL ring parameters (Ring Volume, Line 1, Text Msgs, Voicemail, Alarm, and Key Volume) change whenever you select a different Ring Style, so you can set up one ringtone in Loud Ring but get a different one for Soft Ring, a different one for Vibrate and Ring, a different one for Vibrate then Ring, etc.

For the sake of sanity (and to avoid the alarm waking me up with a loud blast of Bach when I wanted a quiet 'Ding') I have set the same ringtones etc in all of the above profiles.

BTW whenever you can't find a menu you need, try pressing the black round button (OPEN MENU) in the middle of the 4 way selector arrows - it opens submenus that can't be accessed any other way.

Hope this helps.
