Same exact issue here.  I have the HE 2 Plus as well.  It is acting like the drain below the dispenser is clogged or some sort of pump has gone out.  I have owned this machine for 13 months so the warranty just expired last month...ugh.  The repair man wants $79 just to come out...then who knows how much to fix.  If anyone can offer some advice, it would be much appreciated...

same problem, washer worked great for 14 months, then one day water poured out dispenser when i turned it on. repairman came out & told me that small items sometimes get stuck between the gray seal around the drum & the drum itself. I thought that area was sealed, and that was what the little gray rubber 'pocket' in the front bottom was for. i should have watched him fix it - he pulled out 3 thong undies that had wiggled between the seal & the drum during spin. he said they were plugging up the tube where the water (and detergent/softener) flow into the washer. that is why the water poured out the dispenser. cost me $200. suggestion - socks & small items need a lingerie bag. also, don't stuff it full, that makes a difference too.

Solution for clogged soap dispenser on Kenmore He2. If you open the door and slightly pull the gray rubber seal away from the drum, at the 10:00 position, you can see if there is an item blocking the inside soap despenser drain pipe. I had a sock stuck in there and I gently used two fingers (one from each hand) to grab the lodged item and pull it out. It no longer looked like a sock, but a torn up washcloth. If this solves your problem, I highly recommend using a mesh laundry bag to wash anything smaller than a washcloth. Socks (all socks, not just a baby's socks), thongs, etc have all gotten stuck in the soap despenser drain and in the water outlet drain filter. They are too torn to be used again, of course but it answers the age-old question of "where did all the matching socks go!"

What I recommend to anyone who has this washer to do their regular cleaning cycle. After you do this, check both drains, the grey rubber seal, etc for anything that may have gotten in here. If you use the mesh bags for anything smaller than a shirt and pants, you will find that the clogged draining problems will happen with less frequency.

Also, before doing expensive repairs, take an hour or two to search the web and see if you can figure out (from customers before you) how to fix these chronic problems. If there is still a problem you can't fix and HAVE to call a repairman, watch the repairman fix the problem so you know how to fix it next time. Not only that but you can tell us what the repairman did so those that have the problem after you, have a way to fix the "simple" fixes.

This happened to me also. repairman said that small items can get stuck between the gray seal around the drum & the drum itself. I thought that area was sealed off, and that the little gray pocket in the front bottom was to catch lint etc. the items get pushed up against the hose opening where the water (and detergent, softener) go into the washer when you turn it on. $200 later, he pulled out 3 little thong undies. told me to use a lingerie bag and to not stuff washer full. now, daughter has "lost" more of these items again, and I think that is where they are (she didnt use the bag!) I didnt watch him get them out & have been trying curved wire etc. without luck. but it isn't stopped up (yet).

Pull out the detergent drawer. under the detergent drawer you will probably find detergent built up. clean it out and try to clean out the the little holes in the front. I used a straw to push the detergent into the washer tub. if you have futher questions feel free to call me at (918)931-2039.

Kenmore front load washer is leaking water from soap

We had a similar problem with water coming out of the soap dispenser when the washer was run. I assumed that it was a problem with the water draining as everyone else posted here. I took off the front panel, got rid of the junk and drained it. Although this was great, it did not solve the original problem. It turns out that there was a sock stuck in between where the water comes out of the soap dispenser and in to the main compartment. Pulled it out with a needle nose plier and good to go. Thanks to everyone for their input here.

My Kenmore HE 2 Plus front end loader washing machine has a load and when I open the door water pours out. It will NOT spin

since front loader wont spin till its empty
id be willing to b et you have a clog in the pump
get a few towels
and spread em out in front of the machine
take off the fron toe kick 3 T-20 screws on front lip bottom
you should see the trap cleanout dead center
turn the handle 1/2 tun and pull straigt out...
be advised the washer will dump
you now have the sump in your hand ensure it and the pump inside are clean
reassemble and test
use 1 tablespoon of soap no more
suds will mess this machine up

Water is coming out of the soap dispenser, what do

We had water pour out of the dispenser of our Kenmore HE2 washer. hot water helped us for one load then i realize that a trapped rag was the problem We were actually able to pull the face cloth out of the intake tube without taking everything apart!
opened the washer door and feel around inside the rubber seals to find where the intake tube connects to the drum (upper-left side). felt a small bit of cloth sticking out of the tube and were able to slowly work it out by pulling back and forth. and pulled it completely out thats all it was try this

Water is pouring out of where the soap dispenser is. Can anyone help?

its pouring out because the dispenser is getting clogged in somewhere and not letting the water to the drain pump so its pouring from the soap dispenser. Remove the dispenser, pour water into the opening and make sure water can get into the machine freely. Inspect the opening for soap build up.
If water goes down slowly , open the washer door and feel around the bellow for anything blocking the water inlet port into the washer (socks can sometimes get wedged up there and cause a blockage).
If it all checks out ok, make sure the machine is properly leveled and not leaning forward.
Hope that helps!
