I need a manual and a sewing kit for this machine. I was given the machine and it is missing the front part of the arm that has the kit in it. Where can I get this?

go google and type in---operators manual for jc penney eltra sewing machine model no (not given) and if there is one it will appear as a pdf version down load on a site

You need to find the "service manual" for that machine or a schematic that shows all the parts. I don't know where to find the manual for free, but you can contact the Brother Solution Center to see if they can help.

if you look closely at the components of the machine they should have small marks on them that line up with each other or marks on the case. most sewing machines are timed this way the marks have to be lined up on both arms and that should work.
