Question about PfaFF Creative 7570

Loading memory card

I have a Pfaff 7570 I cannot load onto a empty card any programs over 14,000 stitches. The designs that I am trying to load are for my frame of (Large) 4x4 and a size of the design is 3.86"[w] x 3.96"[h]. I have HP windows XP home edition 3400+ and 244 MB Available ram.when I "send card Stitch" The window says "There is not enough memory available to save the pattern data". I am using a new memory card with 512kb. I have a older card with only 128kb. When loading anything under 14,000 it works fine on ether card the 512 will load the same pattern up to 15 times so I know that there is enough room. actually the largest program I have been able to load is 13,860 stitches. the only program opened up on the computer is P.C. Designer 2.1. I have tried many different programs with same results. Thanks Donna Curran

This is really a limitation with the program so its either you reduce the size of the design that why even on 128 of RAM you can still use this program but with the size of your design it wont really work....

Good luck.......

This is a limitation of the program itself not RAM specifically. You need to contact the program vender about this. You should have received a phone number or address with the software. Basically what is happening is that each stitch must require a fixed amount of memory to describe. The total memory required for the stitches you need, exceeds the program capacity. Again this is a software limitation not a hardware limitation. Realize that XP is not the likely limiting factor here either.

Hi,
I think there may be a limitation to the individual program size.

This page HERE has some useful information.

Changing to a different application(PC) program seems to solve this issue.

The 14.000 goes over the stitch limit and has to be split.

Can i do a large applique with my pfaff 7570 using the large hoop

Both the 7560 and the 7570 will only stitch out to the largest hoop it came with which is a 120 x 115 CM hoop (approx 4 1/4 x 4 3/4 inches). If you are using the Creative Big Fantasy Hoop or a Hoop-it-All you will need to split out the design so that each piece will fit within the 120 x 115 hoop. Transfer both designs to the machine. If using the original hoop, hoop your fafabric and stitch out the 1st design. Unhoop and rehoop again aligning the fabric with the hash marks on the hoop. You will have to move the design around on the screen to make a perfect fit. Stitch out the 2nd design. If you are using the Creative Big Fantasy hoop, you just have to hoop the fabric once, stitch out the 1st design and loosen the side screw on the hoop and slide the hoop into place for the 2nd design. Stitch out the 2nd design. The same process applied to the Hoop-it-All.

What format does the Pfaff 7570 use for embroidery?

The format that is used by the 7570 and the 7560 is *.pcs or *.dst. Either one will work provided that the designs are within the confines of the hoop. The largest size design that would be embroidered by this machine would be 115 x 120 MM.

Where can I locate the fuse<

Hello,

The Pfaff 7570 Creative Designer is a computerized sewingand embroidery machine that has the ability to connect to the computer, andhave embroidery designs sent to the embroidery machine. The sewing andembroidery machine has many features, including hundreds of general sewingfunctions, a separate embroidery module, and on-screen editing features. TheCreative Designer 7570, manufactured in the 1990s, was the first sewing andembroidery combination machine ever made by Pfaff.

1. Usingthe Sewing Machine
1 Turn on your sewing machine using the "On"button located just below the turn wheel on the right side of the machine.Thread your Pfaff 7570. Note that Pfaff sewing machines thread from left toright, not right to left like other sewing machines. The upper tension discsshould be raised at their highest position while threading, and the presserfoot should be raised up until you thread the needle. Drop the presser footright before you thread the needle. The prevents thread problems during use. 2 Insert a full bobbin and retrieve the bobbin threadthrough the thread plate. Raise your sewing foot and needle to its highestposition; hold the needle thread taught with your left hand, lower the needleinto the thread plate using your right hand, and then raise the needle. As youraise the needle, the needle thread will catch the bobbin thread, and pull itup. There should be a loop of thread intertwined with the needle thread. Usetweezers, your finger, or a straight pin to retrieve the bobbin thread that isvisible through the thread plate, and pull it through the plate. 3 Place the fabric under the presser foot, and drop thepresser foot. Choose the stitch you want to use from the top stitch display, right above the top thread feed. Press the '0-9" button located on thesewing machine's front panel, and a display screen will come up. Input thethread number, and press the 'OK' button located on the sewing machine's frontpanel. The stitch will display, and you are ready to sew. Repeat Step 3 foreach stitch you want to use.

2. SettingUp the Embroidery Unit
1 Turn the sewing machine off. Take out the embroiderymachine unit, locate the connection bushing on the back of your embroideryunit, and match it up with the connection bushing on your sewing machine. Theconnection bushing should be located next to a yellow sticker on yourembroidery unit, and somewhat resembles a serial port on a computer. Slide theembroidery unit onto the sewing machine with the sewing machine turned off. Connectto the bushing carefully as you slide the embroidery unit onto the sewingmachine. Use your embroidery unit manual if you need assistance. 2 Insert an embroidery card. Your embroidery unitshould contain an embroidery card labeled embroidery card 1. Use that or useanother Pfaff 7570 card that you own. Turn on the sewing machine. 3 Open the bobbin case area just below the threadplate, and lower the feed dogs by pushing the feed dog switch to the right.Press the card button located on the front face of your sewing machine. Adisplay with pop up; choose embroidery designs or monogram and a new screenwill pop up with your design choices. Choose the design you want, and press"OK." A checklist screen appears. Do everything on the checklist, andpress "OK." Use your embroidery unit manual if you need help. 4 Start embroidery by pressing the foot pedal. At thistime, your hoop should already be attached to the embroidery unit becauseyou've already gone through the checklist. Your embroidery manual displayscolored picture diagrams that are very helpful in understanding everything inyour checklist menu.

Connect PfaFF Creative 7570 to a PC

The software you need to connect the Pfaff 7570 to the PC and to create your designs is called PC-Designer version 2.2 from Pfaff. You may be able to find a used copy. The software should come with a dongle (special cable) for connecting the machine to the PC. Make sure you have this piece because it will not work with an ordinary cable. Depending on what type of port you have on the PC to connect to, you may also need an adapter since the dongle has an old style connector on the end going to the PC. If you are going to create your own designs, you will also need a storage card which inserts into the machine that you send the designs to. Pfaff makes one, called the creative card. I have also used a generic card meant for the pfaff; the generic card is less expensive and has a greater capacity. You can find many designs online either free or for sale to send from PC to Pfaff as well.

I have somewhere that installation diskette (with the old SW version). If I'm not mistaken it was not included with the sewing machine but sold separately with the embrodery arm that we bought together with it some 10 years ago. Email me to azach@kci-medical.com if you need more help.

Pfaff 7570 creative card

Hi Eva,
You should be able to clear the card by holding down the card key as you turn on the machine. You should then be able to reformat.

Sewing from m-memory

Hi Ann,
m-memories are not stitched with the hoop or embroidery unit. They are stitched with the #2 sewing foot and with the feed dogs up just like any of the 9mm decorative stitches on the machine.
