Rom flash corrupt

When your computer won't boot there are several things that could be wrong. The first that is most common is a virus got on your computer and corrupted the OS. The second is the Hard Drive is failing and the third would be bad drivers or program got installed.

I would first reboot your computer and right before the Windows loading screen comes up, hit F8 every half a second until a menu comes up. The first thing on the menu to try is Boot Windows in the Last Known Good Configuration. If that doesn't work repeat the process and try booting in Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Network Connectivity. If your computer won't boot after trying each one, there is a possibility that there are hardware issues or the OS is to corrupt to start. If this is the case you will need to take it in for an IT Professional to look at. If you can get it to boot, then scan for viruses with a program called ComboFix from bleepingcomputers.com then make sure that you uninstall any recent programs.

How to fix a frozen screne

The cause of the freezing, or locking up, of your computer, is due to some either corrupted or missing files. And more specifically, missing or corrupted registry files. These are the files which tell everything on your how it is suppose to work. Basically, they are configuration files. And if these files get corrupted, or messed up, it can wreck havoc.

Sometimes the registry files end up missing. This can happen when you uninstall software from your computer. The software being uninstalled may remove registry files also associated with another program. There should be a message asking you whether or not you want to delete the files as they are associated with another program. Your best bet is to say NO to this and leave the files. If the files end up missing, then the program which needs them will stall, hang, or freeze the next time it tries to run. But there is a simple way to fix this.

By just running registry scan software on your computer, you can find these problems and fix them right away. It will let you know which files are bad, and will fix them to its original state. And it is this simple step which will show you how to fix your computer freezing.

Shellmanager database missing or corrupt

hi alamourt welcome to the forum! did you try to remove the program from add/remove or start all programs and uninstall. is the program still in all program listed.
try this
when your pc is starting up keep pressing f8 then choose safemode
login as normal not admin unless you don't have admin rights
go to control panel, add or remove if you still get the same error
click on start, my computer, program files, find the file nero delete it and delete it from recycle bin.
then click on start, run, type regedit, expand HKEY_local_machine by clicking the plus sign
then expand software and find nero and delete.
please don't delete anything else us you will have corrupt registry or unusable pc if you are not sure or need more advice then just delte the program files.

I am trying to uninstall nero 7, I keep getting a message saying shellmanager missing or corrupt. I want to install nero 8 but I am unable to until I resolve this problem

Try uninstalling by clicking Start, Control Panel, Add or Removed Programs, select Nero 7, then click Remove, maybe that can solve your problem.

When trying to open adobe reader 8.1.1 get following message: patch package could not be opened. verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify...

it sounds like the application that is needed to uninstall the version 8 is corrupted or missing. Try reinstalling version 8 first then uninstall it before loading version 9. If you can reinstall version 8 and it asks you if you want to repair or install, choose install to get all of the files back before uninstalling it again. Always uninstall from add/remove programs. If deleting it from program files instead of uninstalling it correctly it will cause problems.

Why did nero8 only half load onto my computer and now i cannot find it

Low space on your HDD may be the culprit. The other reason is a corrupt installer. Please try uninstalling and restart your PC. then check for availability of free hard disk space. You may install Nero in any other partition where ample free space is available... If all these doesn't work, try getting another installer. BOL.
