Question about ASUS Computers & Internet

Major issue with recent purchase from Newegg 8600gt silent grahics cards

In january i purchased a pair of silent 8600gt graphics cards for my new Tower of Doom computer. It has an sli motherboard from Asus. The 8600gt are also Asus. They never worked well at all,in fact last month they both died, just all the sudden quit working. I called Newegg and the took them back, they also replaced them. I got these two silent 8600 gt cards replaced a few weeks ago and now the replacements have quit working. My computer case has more than enough ventilation as it has a giant power supply fan, a 120mm fan in the front,a 120mm in the back and yes a 250mm,thats right a 250mm on the side. The CPU runs at around 112f and the hard drive around 97f.
I want them replaced, not with another pair of 8600 gt,but with credit for i paid for them applied to getting something different. I will never buy any form of 8600 gt cards again. Its soured me on Asus products and soured me on Newegg as well. Please offer a real sollution and not an automated response.

You bought them inJan 08 and in August 08 the second pait quit working? ask your money back and indeed go for somethign else, ATI Makes some good cards as well.

On the other hand, it remains quite strange that 4 cards died in 8 months time. Did ASUS find a cause for it? i think you should not give up on them but invite them to find the cause of this and come up with a proper solution.

Can i get a replacement Nvidia Ge Force 9500GS graphic card

If it's for a laptop/netbook/etc - no, they're not replaceable. If it's for a desktop - graphics cards are fairly easy to replace. You can purchase them in various locations, I'd suggest Newegg.com

There is no need to go for another card just keep you pc well ventilated. and try to install some cooling fans in it. but if you want real cooling solutions then just purchase a coolermaster gpu coolers from the shops and i tell in the whole world that, they are the best company in producing CPU and GPU Coolers.

Graphic card

Your board does not support sli. If you want a good video card, check this list out at:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=Property&N=2010380048%201069633099&minPrice=100&maxPrice=210&bop=And&Order=PRICE

I would go with the HD 4850 if you have a big enough power supply.

Please rate my response. Thank you.

I just recently bought a new PC, and the mother board model is a M2A-VM Graphics Integrated Motherboard. What I want to know form you is that, I am not getting the results I want for my graphics, when I...

Your board has a PCI-express slot as well as the integrated graphics, so you should be able to just plug the Asus card in and it should autmatically replace the onboard graphics; You'll need to install the software for the new card when Windows starts up. To ensure a trouble-free installation it might be advisable to uninstall the Radeon graphics from Device Manager first. Do you need help to do that?

Hello, Problem with 8600 GT egeforce graphics card

Sounds like the card is defective or your power supply is not hefty enough to drive the new card. Also check that the card is seated fully.

Graphics card.

For your sound card how many plug in openings are you using on your card?If only 1 is all, than that is why.Try re-downloading your soft ware.If your running Vista, than your problem is that,Vista, just like XP started out ,many many incompatible issues with the operating system that will fix them selves with more time.Secondly your graphics problem:Are you using Vista????
You now have a start ,not stating what operating system your running is one problem.

UPGRADE GRAPHICS CARD

Hey,

From the looks of your system, Its a pentium D 915 CPU, with integrated graphics.
From the spec sheets, you should be able to upgrade to even an 8800 series, although that would require you to purchase a higher wattage power supply.
My recommendation is:
if you want graphics grunt for later model games, (i.e shooters like CoD4) the card you need (without needing a new PSU) would be the 8600gt. This is an excellent card and does not require external power.
If you want a cost-effective option, go with the 8500gt or an ati (amd) something equivalent. They arent the fastest cards out, but they will do a better job than the integrated graphics.

Hope that helps,
Sincerely,
