Could not find the main class: Program will exit

Are you trying to access a program that you downloaded?
Are you trying to program something?

This is an error that is encountered when a program is started but the system cannot find the main class (The first step to starting the program which controls the whole flow of the program)

If it is something you downloaded from a rookie developer, or something you programmed yourself take a look at your main function, it is probably declared improperly. Google the specific language you are using to see how it is supposed to be declared.

If it is a mainstream something you are trying to install and run something somewhere corrupted. Try to re-download and reinstall. If that doesn't work it is possible something in your registry is corrupted... unlikely, but possible.

I lost my instalation code for the sims 2 doudle deluxe

Try contacting the game company. Sometimes they will allow you to send some sort of proof of purchase to them to show that you actually own the game and they will send you another code.

Every time I try to install the Sims complete collection I get a message that the install wizard has encountered an unknown error and must abort. What can I do to fix this?

If the version you are installing is a pirated copy, anything could have been done to it and we will not be able to help, however if it is original try the following.
It could be the Windows Installer that is having issues, the best fix is that you download the latest version and install this first before the game. It can be found here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=5a58b56f-60b6-4412-95b9-54d056d6f9f4&DisplayLang=en

Scroll down the page to find the Instructions and choose carefully based upon your Operating System. Download the appropriate file and install this, once that is done, reboot the computer and try to install the Sims again.

I downloaded my sims 2 perfectly, and im on a brand new laptop, so there is enough space for my game to work OK. but whenever i try and play the game, it is fine for 2minutes, and then it just freezes...

Most games when downloaded would download with a virus and most viruses are known to freeze a game or program up.
But what mite work is to get yourself a anti virus and i would recomment AVAST 4.8, if that doesnt work then it is recommended that you buy the game and not download it

I bought my computer only 2 weeks ago. And every time i try to down load anthting it starts and only gets to a certain percent then stops half way through the download. i have called my internet service...

Well, no built-in setting in any case...

I'd do two things, if I were you.

Firstly, search for and download an "MTU" size adjuster. It'll be a very small program to download, which can tweak the size of your maximum transmission unit. This is the packet size that your computer can handle. If you're on DSL, you'll want 1492 or thereabouts. (the program will have defaults based on the type of internet you have).

Secondly, look into a download manager such as "getright" or even firefox's built-in download manager. Both of these programs can resume broken downloads... so you'll at least not have wasted any time/bandwidth.

Big downloads often do this because of timeouts, which both of my suggestions should help with or fix completely. =-]
