I have the same issue, grill does not get hot enough to cook anything. I figured it was something w/ the regulator as well and replaced it w/ part from sears direct and it did not fix the problem. Not sure what to do further other then getting rid of this piece of **** and buy a Weber that will last my lifetime.

Had the same problem. Belive it or not i basically follow the turn on instructions. Disconnet the regulator, let it stand for five minutes, the reconnect and turn it on 1/4 and turn the burner that is at the end of the line. (in my case the is the first one on the left).

Sounds like your regulator has a restriction. One thing you could try would be to tap on the regulator while you have the grill lit and see if you could knock loose the particulate that is creating problems if not your other option would be to replace the regulator.

Can't get the heat higher than 375 degrees, we've reset the regulator and cleaned everything but still can't get it any hotter. The flame is quite low also, do you have a solution?

If the is still "quite low", the problem lies with the grill's regulator and how you turned the tank ON.

To solve this problem, first be sure you have adequate gas in the tank. If that checks out OK, do the following:

1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank.

2. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank.

3. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow).

4. Once the tank valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and set the burner
control knob on HIGH. Does the flame height look correct for being set on HIGH? If so, light
the remaining burners the same way. Do all the burner flames look correct? If so, you solved
the problem. Remember, to always open the tank valve Very, Very Slowly.

If that didn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the grill's Hose/Regulator Assembly. It runs about $30.00 at any home center or hardware store that sells grills & accessories. If you replace it, turn the tank valve ON Very, Very Slowly.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Happy Grilling. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Good morning My gas grill will light, but there is

If by lighting, you mean just very low flames on each burner, that get no higher when you adjust the blame height ... the problem can be solved rather easily.

Turn OFF the propane tank, disconnect the hose/regulator from the tank and wait 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, reconnect the hose/regulator to the tank and turn the tank valve on VERY, VERY SLOWLY, until the valve is fully open. Light the burner furthest away from the tank first and turn the flame to high. Do the burner flames appear to be normal now, for the highest setting? If so, continue down the line, lighting each burner separately and turning it to high. Do all the burner flames appear to be normal, now? If so, you've solved the problem! If not, repeat the sequence above and be sure you're turning the tank valve on in slow motion.

If repeating the sequence didn't solve the problem. the burners and the venturi tubes need to be removed and cleaned.

However, if you had just installed a new tank with fresh gas or turned the tank on after it had been off for a while, I believe the first solution will solve your problem. In the future, always remember to turn the tank valve on Very, Very Slowly.

Hope this helped solve your problem. Happy Grilling!

Hello, we have a 3 switch stainless grill that has NEVER heated up properly. It always seems to stay luke-warm. Please help.

First, how high are the flames when turned to high as opposed to the low setting on each of the 3 burners? If there's no significant difference in height between the two settings, here's what I want you to do.

Turn off the gas tank (that's assuming you are using a 20lb LPG cylinder) and disconnect the hose from the tank. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank. Turn the Tank Valve ON very, very slowly, until it's fully open. Now, light each burner individually turning them to high. Are the burner flames higher than before? If so, you just solved your problem.

Remember to turn the tank ON very, very slowly after turning it off to change the tank or if you turn the tank off after each time you grill. Also, when grilling preheat the grill with the lid closed, after lighting the burners.

Hope that solved your problem ... Happy Grilling!

My 1100lp when burners are on low flame is to low and make squeeking noise and if a slight bit of wind will blow out flame. I cleaned burner tubes and replaced regulator with factory parts will heat up on...

turn off the LP Tank, disconnect the hose from the tank and wait 5 minutes. Reconnect the hose and turn the tanl valve on very, very slowly, until it's fully open. Light each burner and turn it to high. Wait for the burners to heat up and turn them down gradually to low. If flame height on low has returned to normal, the problem is solved.

If that didn't solve the problem, the air shutters on each burner may need adjusting. Consult the installation instructions that came with the new burners for the proper setting or consult your Owners Manual.

If it's real real cold outside, it's not unusual for the burners set on low to have a problem. The only solution to that is let the grill preheat well, before turning the burners down. Also, grill with the hood closed on low, if it's a windy day.

Hope this helps you and gets you back to grilling again.

I have a Kenmore 4 burner grill that I purchased about 3-4 weeks ago. 3 of the 4 burners have nice blue flames and work very well but the left middle burner gets a huge yellow flame no matter what temp it...

does the same burner flame turn blue if other burners decreast in flow-with that burner on high and others low-is it still yellow? if so Gas Valve needs to be replaced.

Charbroil master flame gas grill the flame is either very high or very low

How old is the grill? The size of the holes in the burner is critical. As burners age, the holes rot out, and get bigger. The velocity of the gas exiting the holes has a large effect on flame size. New burner is the most typical solution.
