Starting at the handle base, remove the first 4 screws. The handle will then separate and slide right past the clips.

Hi, how do I check my hoover floormate deluxe spinscrub's filter and motor?

Hi Mike! To check the filter on the Floormate deluxe, remove the dirty water tank and pull up on tank lid to separate from the base. Check foam filter for debris, if filter has debris, rinse it with water. To prevent internal damage make sure you are using only the Hoover Floormate detergent. If the machine is still noisy and smells bad we recommend taking it in to a Hoover authorized service center. Follow the link to find the nearest service center to you. Hope this helps! Install upper control rod

Hi, it's Jeremy from Crucial Vacuum.

To attach the upper handle to your Hoover Steam Vac remove the clean solution tank (upper tank) from the deep cleaner. Then, attach the upper handle to the lower handle by pushing the upper handle down onto lower one. Use the provided bolts to secure the handles. Push the bolts into the accompanying holes on the front of handle. If the bolts do not go through the holes easily, your handle is not pushed completely down. When the handle sections are completely together, squeeze the trigger on the upper handle to snap the trigger rod into place.

If you require further help with your assembly, you can find a step-by-step manual at: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/user-manuals/f5865900-hoover-parts-steam+vac-manual

How to fix clog on hoover floormate fh40010?

I was having the same issue with my NEW just out of box Hoover FH40010. First run on the floor was great then the water/cleaner stopped dispensing!!! I found that when is assembled it out of the box I did not have the handle "plugged-in" properly!! I reattached it to where there is NO gap in the handle when pushed firmly into place and locked in the base. WATER SOLUTION NOW WORKS PERFECTLY!!!

There is no suction on Hoover Floormate. Have cleaned everything I can see or remove

check the hose from the base to the water channel when handle is down, and see if the hose is split and open. it becomes brittle and breaks as it ages.

I can not get the water to come out and i checked the asm and it is moving when i press the handle.

This is usually caused by a failure of the upper (solution) tank. Replacing the tank may solve the problem.

I need to remove the handle from my Hoover Floormate. How to I do this?

These are not directions to specifically remove the handle, I looked for them and could not find them. At this URL you will see an exploded view of the unit. By looking at the exploded view you can see the screws that hold the handle in place.

I hope this is of some help to you.
If it is, I would greatly appreciate a Thumbs Up for the service.

Hoover Floormate won't dispense clean solution

The tank sits on what is called a reservior asm, that may have gone bad. Does the water flow out of the tank when you push in the valve at the bottom?

I have had my Hoover Floormate for years. It has always worked great but the last few times I used it the amount of water left is tremendous and the container for dirty water was not full at all. I looked at it and the hose going up from the bottom thru the handle is broken how do I fix this.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Hoover Floormate H3000 Upright Wet/Dry Vacuum. You can down load the owner manual from the Hoover website www.hoover.com . It looks like the one of the holding or recovery tanks my not be in place, leaking, cracked or damaged, or the clear tube is leaking and needs replacing. I looked 2 the owner’s manual and it does not show the clear tube but the vacuum does come apart and just back track the clear tube and mark the screws when you disassemble the unit. Other wise , please call the factory or a local Hoover warranty station in your area. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

Hoover floormate

The tank sits on what is called the reservior asm. it is actuated by the control rod inside the handle. With the tank off, watch and see if you can see that rod hitting the reservior asm when you squeeze the trigger. If it is moving up and down on it, then the resorvior asm may be bad. Also check the valve at the bottom of the tank, manually push it in and see if it releases water.

Hoover Floormate SpinScrub won't dispense cleaning liquid

I had the same problem and was preparing to take it back, the last thing I tried was to 'reseat' the handle -- I removed it then snapped it very firmly back into place. That did it, it's working beautifully now!
