f you have a newer operating system like Vista or Windows 7, may not need software according to other owners. If you have XP or older, you may need to use a generic driver that your OS may install on it own or you may have to install by scanning for hardware - control panel/system/device manager - press small blue computer icon at top to scan. (make sure it is plugged in)
I e-mailed the company and they gave me an answer. It works because the manual that comes with the camera doesn't tell you how to put the camera in Web Mode. This is a strait copy and paste of their answer:
Please note that you will have to set the camera to PC
Camera mode before using the webcam function. 1. Press POWER/MENU. 2. Press FLASH/SET or 3. Press POWER/MENU to select the icon shown on
the LCD. 4. Press or to select the
icon shown on the LCD. 5. Press FLASH/SET or. . Connect the camera to your computer. Open webcam enabled
application, such as Instant Messenger or Net meeting. Position the came.
It uses a standard USB cable. You can buy it from any computer shop. Just check which connector is present on your camera. I would advise going to the shop with the camera and the seller will know exactly which cable you nedd.
