When switching my FinePix F30 on a message 'CARD NOT INITIALIZED' comes up on the screen. The camera has worked perfectly with the fugi XD memory card for twelve months, any help in how I can correct this please? Many thanks. Nick

I could not for the life of me understand why I was getting this message, and I was getting very upset !!!
I have a brand new Sandisk 2GB card, and it was driving me CRAZY.
My solution turned out to be a very simple one.
When your computer sees your card and you need to format it, it will give you TWO options. Either format using "FAT32", or just "FAT".
The FAT32 option gave me no results.
I tried again using simply "FAT", and it works just fine!

Have just successfuly transfered pictures from FinePix 30 onto iBook and now suddenly it wont work, with any card. any ideas?
I got the same problem and the only way I could solve it was by taking the XD card out of the camera and formatting it in another Fujifilm camera.
Now, my F30's card-reader has malfunctioned. I don't know if it's connected to the problem.
