When i try to go on the camera for my blackberry curve 8520 it says i need to close other applications first but i dont know what this means?

You have likely dropped your phone and this has caused the lens to move.....open the back of your phone; remove the battery and gently press on the camera lens. Replace the battery and start your phone up again....see if this helps.

    i done that, but then i go to my camera straight away and it comes up with black screen but the things at the bottom andit still comes up as what it did before, could not start camera..

Any other program using the camera? (such as custom filters.. etc) if you have anything that is using the camera application then it won't actually close until you close the hosting program; easiest way is to take out the battery WHILE THE PHONE IS ON (important part, that's why I yelled it :) ) and leaving it out for about 10-20 seconds, reinsert and try again
