How do I turn radio on? Is there an old-fashioned "on/off" button? The battery in the remote needs to be replaced but in the meantime,is there a way to turn the radio on?!?!?! Many thanks!

Check the remote out for proper operation of buttons. Get AM radio and tune it to about 600 on AM dial, turn up volume. Place remote right next to it and start hitting the buttons one by one. Each should cause the radio to start beeping if the respective button is working. By turning the channel knob on radio you can fine tune it to the frequency of the remote.
According you you the only button that should be working is the power button. If the others do now work then the problem is not the battery but with the remote which will need replacement.
To use the worry-free backup battery, get a 9V battery. Then look for the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit. Press the tab with your thumb and then lift the cover out and away. Plug in the battery and then replace the cover.
Press Wake Time once and use the forward/reverse buttons to set the alarm time. Then press Wake Mode repeatedly to toggle between the options of wake to radio, wake to CD, or wake to alarm. (Note the radio must be tuned to your desired station and a CD needs to be in the player for these to work).
The Smart Snooze means that pressing Snooze, forward, reverse, play or stop will turn off the alarm temporarily. (Pressing Off will prevent the alarm from sounding again today.)
Hey there, ultra_90, I saw your post! What is sounds like is that the SAT button is stuck and you may need to check it and pry it loose. If that doesn't work, we'll probably have to send you a replacement. Let me know about that and I'll be happy to assist you further!
Hello, the remote can sometimes have problems. If you haven't changed the batteries in 60 days, try different batteries, or even try a different brand. Sometimes also, with new remotes, the remotes can be faulty upon arrival. If changing the batteries doesn't help, then at that point, we would probably want to replace the remote again. It has been some time since you posted, but if you have yet to get this resolved, I would be more than happy to take a look into this for you. You can reach me at [email protected].
Turn The System on and open the slot next to the disk tray Then press the red button after that open the battery.Don't take the batterys out but press the red button next to the batterys. That will get you syncronized and you wiil never have to connect the remotes the old fashion way.Just press 1 and 2 when the console turns on and you wil be ready to play.
you probably have a battery problem on your remote
or the battery contacts.
the is a easy way to test any remote control.
Find a old AM radio the smaller the radio the better make sure is on AM and tuned to a station where you hear just static then place your a/c remote close to the radio and press any button.
you will hear a beeping sound coming from the radio if you hear noting do the same whit your TV remote
"just as a reference". if you hear nothing different from your AM radio then some thing is wrong whit your remote if you do hear some thing, then there is some thing wrong whit the a/c unit receiver.
Assuming you have a second key try using that one to deactivate the alarm, if not replace battery in remote. Does lock and unlock work now? you will need to get the remote operational to disengage the security feature that will not allow car to start. if not disconnect the car battery let sit for 15 min to reset system try again..make sure bettery in remote is installed properly.
