I upgraded Memory to 4GB with Two 2GB SD Ram Modules but System shows Only One 2GB module and does not show/recognize second module. BIOS Setting Shows Second Slot/RAM Module Not Activated.

is the module in properly?,is anything broken?? switch them around and see if the module is good or not, also, just because the motherboard supports 2 modules,if intel only recognizes 2gb then that is all, whether you have 2 1gb modules or 2 2gb modules, upgrade your intel chip and upgrade your bios

I have a 150gb hard drive with 2gb memory. How can I upgrade my hard drive and memory

As with most laptops, there are two memory slot. This laptop has 1GB in each. You need to remove one or both and replace with 2GB boards. The 2gb memory boards are around $50 or so. Changing memory is easy to do.
Replacing a disk is easy also, but you need to get your programs from the old disk to the new. That usually takes a local shop to do that. You may just want to buy a new computer instead of upgrading.

Compaq Presario Notebook V3000T I replaced the 2-256mb memory cards with 2-1g memory cards. System boots up but only reads 1024mb?

Thanks to Microsoft Knowledge Base for help with my answer:

First, find out what the maximum amount of memory is. This is generally listed by most of the manufacturers. This will let you know what upgrade potential the system has. Next, determine how the memory configuration is when you buy the system. For example, a laptop that has 2GB of memory can be configured as either a single 2GB module or two 1GB modules. The single memory module allows for better upgrade potential because by adding another module you are gaining more memory without sacrificing any current memory. Upgrading the two module situation with a 2GB upgrade would result in the loss of one 1GB module and a memory total of 3GB.

    Memory Issue

yeah you should upgrade. Windows xp 32bit only support up to 3gb memory. You should upgrade to 64bit.
And your specs? Yeah it can run 64 bit operating systems or if you like, use Windows Vista x86 or x64 with Service Pack 1.
