When You try to start your phone the red light blinks and phone refuses to start.
if Your computer also does not identify your phone.
And its seems to be completely Dead..am i right???

Redlight blinking is a Sign of Low Battery or a Dead EROM.

  • his happens Some time during flashing the EROM goes dead or corrupt due to errors.
  • If phone has a bad EROM it shuts down and does not start even if battery is charged to full.
  • Double Check that battery is not the problem before you proceed to flash the EROM.
  • preoblem in EROM will lead to problem of the firmware or GDFS is corrupt
  • In that case we have to repair the EROM. And now here we will discuss the easiest way to fix it.
Note: Before you use SeTool 2 lite you will need to have USB flash drivers installed.
Please follow the USB flash driver installation tutorial (the given blue link) in tutorials section to install them. And kindly borrow your friend’s Sony Ericsson Phone to install usb drivers because your phone is dead.

Using SeTool2 lite 1.11 we can fix this problem by this way.
  1. Start SeTool 2 lite
  2. Press Unlock\Repair Button, The first button.
  3. Reinsert Battery
  4. Connect phone holding 2+5
  5. Wait, SeTool 2 lite will repair the EROM, it will flash it back.
  6. Done
Now you can start your phone.

Flashing red light means the battery is low. Allow it to fully charge.

Red light goes on and off

Needs the button put back into place. Look under the cabinet to see if there is an access panel below the switch, would go for all external controls. There would be a chassis with all the controls mounted to it.
Pull the plug before doing any repairs.
Look to see what it would look like in it's normal position. Something has moved out of place that holds the switch to the panel. Very tedious if you have to remove the whole housing.

How to link my blue tooth

Pairing the Plantronics Explorer 220:

For most phones, select Settings/Tools, Connections, Bluetooth, On. See your phone's user guide for more information.

With the 220 headset powered off, turn on the headset by pressing and holding the call control button for approximately 5 seconds until the LED flashes red & blue. The Explorer 220 headset is now in pairing mode. If you don't see the red/blue flash, press and hold the power button to turn your headset off, and then press and hold the power button again and hold for 5-6 seconds until you see the red & blue flash.

From your phone, go to the Bluetooth menu and select "Search" or "Add Device". Your phone should find the headset which will appear as "2xxPlantronics" in your list of devices.

If prompted for the Passkey (PIN code), enter 0000. If your phone asks for a PIN/passkey, enter 0000 (4 zeros). Pairing is successful when the LED on your headset flashes blue. Your headset is now connected and ready to use.

I HAVE THE MERLIN PHONE SYSTEM 820D2 I WOULD LIKE TO SILENCE CERTAIN NUMBERS FROM RINGING. HOW DO I DO THAT?

Now that's an oldie :-) I have the instructions squirreled away right here

Here's how to program line ringing:

• go to the voice terminal whose line ringing you want to program

• slide T/P switch toward you

• touch a line button (note red lights)

• touch the button again until correct code appears:

RED ON = Ring

RED FLASH = Delayed Ring

RED OFF = No Ring

• repeat this procedure for each line

• return T/P switch to center position.

While charging my O2 atom exec, the LED (Flash light) does not glow red ?

I have the same problem. What I did several time is to actually shut down the phone, remove the battery and leave it like that for several hours (3 to 4 hours). Then, I put the battery back in the phone, and it would charge again. However, due to the long time with no battery, the phone's clock would be reset to January 2007.

I found no other work around right now. However, I have to do this more and more often, almost once a week ...
