You should have taken same back to the store upon initial headache. sounds like a spyware/malware problem, or a virus trojan. run the anti virus program. you can find the Acer e data by doing a Search for same, look on the right toolbar for their icon.

Garmin 255wt lost satelite signal

Try to do a fresh reboot of the system, I've found this to be a very good troubleshooting tool. If this does not work, my assumption would be the internal GPS Receiver may have malfunctioned this is also something I've seen in some Garmin units, but rarely in the 255w/wt.
Some times with the Garmins, they get hung up in Software limbo and just need a little refresh. Once you perform the reboot, it will reset your unit back to factory settings. Here are the Steps to follow.
How to restore your Garmin:
1. Power down your Unit.
2. Place your finger in the lower right hand corner of the display and hold it there while turning on the device.
3. Do not release until you see the box pop up that asks if you want to erase all settings.
4. click yes.

At this point it should reboot and restore itself. it may take a minute or two, but it should be like fresh out of the box. **This will erase all history and address book info, so use it wisely!
Hope this helps!

You can restore the system to Factory condition (out-of-box state) by doing the following:

1) Press the power button till the machine goes off

2) Now hold the 0 (zero) key and tap the power button once to switch on the system

3) When you hear the machine beep release the 0 button.

4) On warning screen select Yes for system recovery.

5) Select Recovery of Factory Default Software and hit Next

6) Select Recover to out-of-box state.

7) Click Next to Start recovery.

You should be able to restore the computer to out-of-box state.

I need to preform a system reboot/ restore for aSONY VAIOPCGGR250

Hi,

Holding zero is the method for restoring Toshiba computers. Sony Vaio should use F10. From there you can do a full system restore to factory defaults.

Hope that helps :)

try logging in safe mode and reboot the pc after loading safe mode I have had programs crash installing and I loaded safe mode and restarted pc and in safe mode it fix the problem.. so when I restarted pc it worked ok.. the program mighted of corrupted and you might have to uninstall it and reinstall it I dont remember if acer has a app disk like dell, emachines(new),gateway or ifs a full restore disk.. Im thinking that its a app disk.. you might also want to check for viruses. with a program like house call free scanner from trend.. and spyware scanner free adaware. both are good.
if you still cannot login to windows you can run msconfig in run box and disable it in startup but becareful with what you disable

Acer Aspire 5570Z

Ok that is just a program that comes with the Acer laptops, it really is Useless and I dont use it on my computer, its part of the acer e management , e recovery, and etc programs that acer made. To fix this you can uninstall it under the ADD/remove programs or if you want to keep it you can then goto the acer website and under support put your model number in and download that particular software again and it might fix itself if there where some type of missing files on that particular software. Secondly if this is a vista machine it could be the software is not compatible and it causes the OS to crash which then comes with that error to the user and never goes away . Hope my answer gets you closer to a solution.
