OK, try a clean reinstall of the software as outlined here:
Ignore the "camera" in the solutionand just replce it with your media player.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, the I think it is time to move on from your current player. REPAIRS WOULD COST YOU A LOT MORE THAN A NEW PLAYER..
