Acer 7720G Bios Password Reset

Hi, i was fiddling around with the laptop last night and i came across some password setting for use to boot up bios. I don't think i went through fully with it and should have cancelled it but when i switched my laptop on today it requested for a password which i have no recollection of inputted into. What should i do? Can i call Acer and get them to generate me a master password?

-   Got mine on saturday, today is monday, let it hibernate for first time last night not knowing of this issue. open it this morning to same surprise, wanting a password. acer wants $125 to fix it. its 3 days old!! so i'm not happy with them right now. they did say it can go back to compusa for an exchange but there goes my data. thanks acer!-   mrkrag

-   This is a known bug with Acer's BIOS.

If the notebook is allowed to "sleep" or "hibernate", the password gets corrupted.

BIOS passwords in most laptops are stored in a special chip on the motherboard and the only way to bypass this password is to replace this laptop security chip. yeah you can call acer technician....
