Hi... i dont know how my brother managed to change the bios password. and he can not remember the right password. can someone help me with this. is it possible to reset it without entering the right password thanks

First I need to find out if the password you are referring to is the Bios password or a Windows password.
If when you turn on your laptop you get a black screen and then the password prompt, This is Bios password.
Or if you see loading windows, Then the password prompt, This windows password.
If you can tel me this I may be able to help you.

If you are the original owner Toshiba will reset the bios for a fee and it is not cheap, they may include the HDD reset, if not! www.ebay.com type password, or hard drive password. I would check bios password, probably a lot cheaper if you can find the right seller, also check www.download.com some software may be free.

It seems to be BIOS password, if you don't remember or don't have the BIOS password you have to reset the password by opening your CPU cover and removing the CMOS coin battery, this will reset the BIOS password but dont forget to return back the battery and start using your PC.

its just asking the user password of bios, if u did not it then u have to reset it by removing BIOS cell on the motherboard of your laptop. You just open ur leaptop from back side and remove the cell (battry) and the reinsert it.

You don't need to access bios to change boot drive just hit escape key a couple of times when you power on and it will give you options for which drive to boot from.

you can remove your BIOS battery for about 10 seconds and the BIOS password and adjustmens that you custom made in your BIOS will reset.

you dont need to jump cmos if you get out the BIOS battery for a couple of seconds because the BIOS will reset itsself
