Hotpoint aquarius CTD00 dryer won't heat

The empty water light stays on and there is no heat. In one of your solutions you said to check the switch where the tank is removed from is open. Where so I find that switch because I can't see one! Thanks

When turning on the dryer (CTD00) the empty water light comes on and no heat is produced. The water has been emptied and filter cleaned.

I have just had a similar problem and fixed it today.
The "Empty Water" light was staying on and no heat was given out to dry the load.
I found it to be the float switch in the condenser unit at the back left. It had stuck with fluff and debris. I cleaned out the condenser reservoir and the polystrene float and now all is well.
To get to this unit you must first,
Take of the top and the left hand side panel.
Locate the 2 locking tabs that hold the top half of the condenser onto the back panel and release this part.
Remove this by releasing 2 further tabs that hold it to it's bottom half,
and you will see the float switch assembly on the left hand side.
Clean out the condenser reservoir of any water and aslo clean the polystyrene float, it needs to be free to slide up and down between the plastic guides.
Hope this helps.

John2201's solution was very helpful. In addition, to his instructions would suggest to check that the water line leading from the pump up to the tray is unblocked and there is nothing in the pump. My problem was a blocked water line. Then of course clean all the crud out in the reservoir and in the condenser cavity as well.

Dryer not heating up

To be certain whether it is the element or thermostats that are faulty, you really need a test meter to check them with, as it is not obvious if they are faulty or not, simply by looking at them
Hope this helps.

Empty water light stays on and doesnt get hot

allways with this type of unit it is best to always empty the container after every dry, this is because when the water rises in the pump chamber it operates a switch which shuts of the heater and puts on the light. and they stick quite a lot, disconnect from power and rock the appliance from front to back quite hard and this should rectify the problem

Hotpoint condenser tumble dryer aquarius cdt00- wont dry

I am not familiar with this particular unit, but I have a condensing dryer (Malber) which pumps out the water by itself. I am guessing that your unit requires you to empty a bin manually. Even if the bin is empty, I think the unit thinks it needs to be emptied and that is why the dryer will not work to give you hot air. If you do have such a bin, it might have a weight switch which the unit uses to detect if the bin needs emptying. See if the weight switch is working. The same weight switch idea is used on dehumidifiers.
