That is a fatal problem. The same thing happened to my w580i, and the only fix is to send the stupid thing in under the warranty to get repaired and returned to you, leaving you without a phone during that whole time. I won't be buying a Sony Ericsson EVER again.

My HTC mobile not going to on after pressing power button and on connection of charger it is showing red LED. Same there here. I woke up this morning and my phones just dead. Even if i connect the charger...

Remove the battery then connect the charger without the battery. Then hold down the power button for a few seconds. The red light may come up for a quick second during this process.

Don't remove the charger. After the red light goes off then insert the battery and check if the light turns amber or orange.

Leave it in orange or amber light state for about 2 minutes. After that, try to turn it on. If it turns on then it is resolved. If not then there is a hardware problem with your phone and it needs to be checked at any HTC Service Center.

My HTC p3300 battery not gettin charged. It works on direct power for some time and get automatically shutdown after some time..indicating no charge. Keeps shutting down often.

I too have been experiencing problems. Replaced the battery but it happened again. The battery says it is at almost 100% capacity however several times in the day, when I go to turn it on it doesn't respond. I end up taking the battery out and then have to connect it to a charger (USB) so that the charging light blinks red once and then turns off. I can then put in the battery again and it will start up again. If I don't connect it to the charger cable to drain (get the red light to flash once), and try just putting back in the battery, I've noticed that the screen has a faint glow as though it was on but the screen is completely blank. I'm starting to think that there must be a short circuit somewhere because I'm going to assume that the new battery is good.

Htc not turn on, red light on

Hi,
Remove the battery from the mobile, press the power button, for 30 seconds.
Re attach the charger , switch on the phone. If it turns on switch it off again and reinsert the battery and check.
If none of the above steps work, you would have to take it in for repairs as there could be a problem with the power supply inside the phone , that would require special tools to open

Thanks

While charging my O2 atom exec, the LED (Flash light) does not glow red ?

I have the same problem. What I did several time is to actually shut down the phone, remove the battery and leave it like that for several hours (3 to 4 hours). Then, I put the battery back in the phone, and it would charge again. However, due to the long time with no battery, the phone's clock would be reset to January 2007.

I found no other work around right now. However, I have to do this more and more often, almost once a week ...

Sony Ericsson W880i won't turn on

Hi

Im about to make your day (Hopefully)

The same thing happened to me, i just fixed mines 2 minutes ago.

Follow this link

http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/softwaredownloads/detailed/updateservice/w880i?cc=gb&lc=en

Download the software

and follow instructions.

it will even tell you how to connect to the computer
even if it doesnt switch on.

Follow it trust me it helped me :)

However some of your things might be lost.

But NOT Sim contacts.
Mines have not gone
so there is a possibility they might stay.

Its just a software update.

By the way, when you have to chose the phones from the menu

pick the w880 as their is no w880i option
it works the same

So there you go

http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/softwaredownloads/detailed/updateservice/w880i?cc=gb&lc=en

same link

Good Luck :)
