Same stupid problem here. No, I'm not pressing the 'Home' button and no, the 'Home' button isn't stuck. Something is wrong with the UMD drive or the hardware. I can't say 100% what causes the issue but it is definitely something with the hardware and most likely it's something wrong with the UMD door or laser (even though it seems perfect, I can tell that it's faulty hardware since the PSP will struggle to read the UMD when this issue occurs). It is a very strange problem as occasionally the PSP struggles to read discs and will take longer to load and then the 'Home Screen' will be displayed abruptly and frequently displaying 'Do You Want To Quit The Game' as if you were pressing the 'Home' button. This will occur frequently but randomly while playing a game (yes, any game.. but it happens more with 'big' games that involve heavy gameplay, i.e. GTA). Sometimes I can go hours without this happening at all. My PSP is still under warranty (only had it 8 months) and frankly it really sucks that this problem has come up b/c I take very good care of my PSP and only play it moderately. Here's hoping Sony will exchange my PSP for a new one because this defect is in no way my fault.

This shouldn't happen. This is the first time I've heard about a problem like this. My instincts tell me that it is probably the home button. it may look like there's nothing wrong with the button on the outside but underneath the home button. Don't try to fix it yourself, try to find a professional repair shop &get it fixed there.

My psp keeps asking me do i want to quit

Hello there,

I've been experiencing this as well. This is because of a newly installed game on your PSP, most probably the one you are currently playing while the "quit" message appears. Just uninstall that game and this will solve your problem.

I had my Psp Droped! My screen stoped working some times it does work. When I play any game my Psp suddenly stop!

If it was banged hard then there are very less chances of it to work, but still go to an electronic product repairer and ask him to fix it.

My PSP won't read the UMD's

that's odd, this has happened to me in a similiar way, except for me my PSP would keep saying "Do you want to exit the game?" For you two, i would recommend examining the discs and make sure they're not scratched too much. Also examine the inside of your PSP where you insert the UMD, is there a loose or broken piece. In my opinion, much like my PS2, the games get too scratched (despite being in that case) to function and will stop being real altogether, although i am still trying to figure out why all games stop working...
Hope this helped in any way

Psp game doesn't work...

The game that you got from the promo when you bought your psp has expired. They gave you a certain amount of time to play the game before they make it expire. They do that so that you can go out and buy the actual game. They give you a free demo to convince you to buy the actual whole game so they can make more money. And your psp cuts off when you leave it sitting for a period of time to save power and to avoid killing your power. It is a setting that you can change in the menu of your psp. You can change the amount of time you would like it to stay on while sitting un-active.
