Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
We have a customer that just recently bought a new 47 inch ambilight(47pfl7432d/37),they purchased the hdmi cables and the picture looks bad. he said that he set it to the 1080p but the picture is worse than our display and ours is only hooked up to an hd dvd player and has the hd cables hooked up!

Try resetting the entire video/audio settings to default. The blur on the picture may indicate that your motherboard is going bad. Recently there was a customer who had the same problem. It was his board. When we tried the AV cables, the blur went away. We tried different HDMI cables and the blur was still there when using HDMI output. It wasn't the TV, and it wasn't the HDMI cables. It was the board going bad.
Try accessing the recovery menu 'safe
Press and hold the power button until
the systems shuts off. (wait 2 seconds)
Press and hold the power button again
until you here 3 beeps. Let go.
It should ask you to connect your
controller via usb and press the PS button in
the middle of your controller. There will be a menu with 6 options. Try 2-5.
