Question about Compaq Presario R3000 Notebook
Guys I am in the same boat !
I have this R3000 was working fine but after testing some LCD's (bad) It doesnt post anything on a good LCD (external Monitor works fine) What could possibly be wrong (I do measure 3.3 volts at LCD Mobo connector)

Lets check a couple of things. I'm sure you know that a laptop can be hooked up to a external monitor or projector, There is a button usually F5 Or close to it that will turn your monitor off and send it to the external one. In some models of toshiba this will stay in effect even when you turn it off. You can toggle this setting by holding the FN key down and pressing the appropriate "f" key. try this first before you chuck it. There also may be a problem in the bios. Let me know how it turns out.
