SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

I have a insignia 7.0 mega pixel...I took 50 pics

I don't have your camera, and don't know what kind of memory card you have, but many memory cards have a "lock" switch right on the card, easy to flick by accident.

How are you connecting the camera? Is it a cable that came with the camera? Can you put the media card in a multi-reader and DL the pics?

When camera is turned on it reads "this card cannot be used" i have pictures on it about 60 it is a 4gb pny card. charged camera overnight and took one pic the following morning before message...

Because the same message appears when you insert the card into other cameras the most likely problems are that the card is full or defective.
Have you tried another card in your camera? If not then you should do so. If it works then it confirms your other card is full or defective.

8GB CENTON SDHC memory card - class 4 - worked okay first day. Removed card to transfer pics to computer. Did fine. When inserted card back in camera JVC-PICSIO GC-FM2BU, got "Memory Card Error"...

Sounds like you forgot to use the "safely remove hardware" when you removed the card from the computer. Also, never format a card in a computer and then expect it to work in a camera. You can try to format it a few more times in the camera but if not successful, then you should think about getting an new card.

Don't know how to get pictures saved on my Nikon P90 hard "memory" bc I took pics without a sd card in it. Now, need to get them "off" or copied/saved on sd card.

You can move the pics to your computer first, as for some camera, if you insert a SD card, you won't find the pics on the camera hard memory.

My girl took pics of wedding Saturday and viewed pics earlier today. When she went to look at them again, a message " Disc in Drive E is not formatted. Do you want to format disc now?" Of...

do not format -- you will lose the pictures

instead go to another computer that supports SD memory and CDRW. insert into that computer and then take all the PICS, save into that computer. now take a blank CD and take the saved PICs and burn into CD.
Also, to ensure you dont lose these pictures (PICs) you may want to buy a 4G or 8G USB thumb drive (about $10-$15 or less) -- drag and drop all the PICs (saved on that computer) into the USB thumb drive. Now you have on CD and USB drive.

hope this helps

Incompatible JPEG format

you are most probably looking at the pictures from the camera screen.... if you use a CF card reader and view them on the PC through internet explorer or any other software they will be fine..

You get this error when the files have been changed on the CF card by anything aside from the camera
