Question about Panasonic PT-45LC12 45" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

1 Answer

Panasonic PT-45LC12 just turned off?

I was watching tv and it just turned off.. Lamp is good, I checked it. but when you push the power button it just blinks green.. I don't hear the fan kick on .. that is what I think it is, the fan is out. does the tv have a sensor that if the fan doesn't come on that the tv won't come on?? If you agree that it is the fan where do you suggest I get one?? Any help you could give would be great.. Also, while the green light is blinking there is no sound what so ever. Any help you may have would be great.
Thanks,
Chris

Having the same problem, after some research, came across this: http://www.fixya.com/support/t142873-panasonic_pt40lc12_blinking_green_power

Not a tech, so I'm going to look into it further on how hard this is to do.

Panasonic TV

Good Day,christie511;
It sounds like the lamp is in need of replacement. You could call a service company to replace the lamp, but it is so easy to replace the lamp ones self. So, call Panasonic and order the lamp, they will send to your home with instructions.

PT-45LC12 Problem after startup

When the lamp flashes 4 times this is what the error code means IC 2301 pin 11 has detected an LCD error which is caused by an error in the LCD power CBA. which means the lamp voltage has become more than 130 volts or less than 30 volts. Or the lamp current is more than 5 amps, or the lamp is cracked. Its one of thos 3 reasons that will make the lamp indicator blink 4 times. Hope this helps. If you need the service manual for this model you can get one emailed to you from the following link.

PT-45LC12 wont power up

You have a bad lamp. The "clicking" sound you hear is the ballast (lamp power supply) attempting to start the lamp. The warning on Panasonics that comes up on screen does so when the life expectancy of the lamp is approaching. Otherwise your "clicking" sound and the red light on front are saying bad lamp. When you replace the lamp remeber to follow the instruction that Panasinc provides with the new lamp on restetting the lamp timer. This is usually done with the volume down on the TV and the PIP button on the remote.
