1st check all of your wiring, make sure the remote wire is hooked up, check to see it the RCA's are hooked up. I know this sounds stupid, but i've done it a thousand times, check to see if you hooked up the speakers. If you checked all of those and still nothing, double check your ground. Make sure where you have it grounded, you have all the paint sanded away and its a good grounding point. The red light on the top of the amp, its not a protection light is it??

Take a volt meter, put it on continuity, cross it between the battery and ground term. on the amp and make sure you get no buzz, now cross it with the remote term. and make sure no buzz. Make sure the only thing hooked up is the battery and ground then take a wire and cross it between the battery input and the rem. to turn it on and see if it blows. Make sure all other cables are removed.
