Cannot turn on the microwave oven. Getting E-10

E-10 = Control Board fault

This is usually associated to the main control circuit board. When this develops a fault it will quite simply disable the microwave. It can however be triggered by other less serious faults, for example the door switch can produce an E-10 error although this is rare. If it simply is not powering up then it is more than likely the main control board and needs to go to an LG repair centre to be properly repaired.

Hope this helps

GE Spacemaker suddenly quits during cooking cycle and sometimes displays a PF ... other times simply no display

If it only runs a few seconds then fails, see this FixYa solution. even if your model number is different.

Otherwise, I would suspect the cooling fan may be failing or there is a bad connection.

The reason is either a poor crimped connection, poor contact on the switch or a poor switch contact.
Replace the microswitch and put a fresh 'lucar' connector on the cable.
Hope that helps.

Micro wave simply quit. How an I check to see if

The fuse is located inside the microwave. You will need to remove the front panel to get to it. It will be located on the black power wire inside the microwave and installed inline. Make sure that the microwwave is unplugged before removing the front panel. Once you locate the fuse inside you will need to remove it and test it with a continuity tester to see if it is blown. If it is make sure you replace the fuse with the same amp rating you found. If the new fuse blows again then there is an electrical short somewhere inside the microwave.

There are two possibilities. Either the magnetron and its accompanying transformer has failed or it could simply be the fuse that feeds the magnetron. This should be checked by someone that is familiar with the correct servicing techniques as there are some very high power components in this area that can be quite dangerous. But if it is just the 'high tension' fuse then at least the bill wont be too high !
