Connect the monitor to the onboard video connector first. then
you need to disable the on-board graphics in the BIOS save the setting and shutdown. Then connect the monitor to the GeForce video connector and boot up then you will get a video signal on the GeForce video card.
The 320 and 540 Visual Workstations shipped originally with MicrosoftWindows NT 4.0. Due to the ARCloader PROM, a custom Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) for Windows was necessary. Windows 2000was the last release which included the required SGI-specific HAL.Because of that, and because SGI ceased supporting the VisualWorkstation series, installation of future Windows versions such as XPis unsupported.
So it doesnt support xp. if u use windows 2000 it might just work. Its hardware design makes it not xp compatible.
You hard drive has drivers and was set to a different computer, thus enviroment. To make that hard drive work on your new computer - the Operating System will have to have a repair done to it - if you do a repair - you will not lose any docs or email, but, you will have to re-install programs to see the re-done Operating System, then you will have to load all the drivers that operate your new dell computer - if the new dell was not designed for XP and only vista - it will never read that Hard Drive till you install Vista on it.
