Hi

You need to first change the power supply. If the problem still persists you need to change the motherboards aswell.

Canon IP5200R printer. Green & red led`s flash 20 times, pause & repeat. print head will not come out of park position on righthand side. Fault occurred while printing a photo error 6500 displayed

Hello!

Error 6500 or green and red flashes 20 times, mean hardware error. Particularly, the Logic Board Assembly

There are two possible fix: first is to reset the printer's waste ink counter and the second is to replace the Logic Board Assembly (part # QM2-2733)
alpug_67.jpg

Reset the Waste Ink Counter:
1) With the printer power turned off, while pressing the Resume/Cancel button, press and hold the
Power button. (DO NOT release the buttons. The Power LED lights in green to indicate that a
function is selectable.)
2) While holding the Power button, release the Resume/Cancel button. (DO NOT release the Power
button.)
3) While holding the Power button, press the Resume/Cancel button 2 times, and then release both the Power and Resume/Cancel buttons. (Each time the Resume/Cancel button is pressed, the Alarm and Power LEDs light alternately, Alarm in orange and Power in green, starting with Alarm LED.)
4) When the Power LED lights in green, press the Resume/Cancel button 4 times (Each time the Resume/Cancel button is pressed, the Alarm and Power LEDs light alternately, Alarm in orange and Power in green, starting with Alarm LED.)

You can remove the top of the printer to remove and clean the pad or reset the printer and continue without cleaning.

These are the instructions which worked for me on my Canon pixma ip470 and has work on many other Canon models:

1) Close the print head cover, and turn off the printer. While pressing the Resume/Cancel button, press the Power button. (Do not release the buttons. The LED lights in green to indicate that a function is selectable.)

2) While holding the Power button, release the Resume/Cancel button. (Do not release the Power button.)

3) While holding the Power button, press the Resume/Cancel button three times, and then release the Power and Resume/Cancel buttons. (Each time the Resume/Cancel button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in either orange or green, starting with orange.) During initialization, the LED blinks in green.

4) When the LED stops blinking and lights in green, press the Resume/Cancel button the 4 times. (Each time the Resume/Cancel button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in either orange or green, starting with orange.)

5) Press the Power button. The LED lights in green, and the
selected function is performed. (When the operation completes, the printer returns to the menu selection mode automatically.)

I need help with my canon pixma ip4000. When i press power button, printer make test or something like that (empty round) and stop. Red and yellow led are flashing. What to do with it ?

Be warned not to reset the counter too often, there will be ink build up in the
sponge and at some stage this will have to be replaced or cleaned, if you reset
more than once and do not replace or clean the pad there is a severe chance of
ink spillage onto the base of the printer, your desk and the
carpet. You have been warned

Service mode

1) With the printer power turned off, while pressing the Resume/Cancel button,
press and hold the Power button. (DO NOT release the buttons.
The LED lights in green to indicate that a function is selectable.) .

2) While holding the Power button, release the Resume/Cancel button. (DO NOT
release the Power button.) .

then release both the Power and Resume/Cancel buttons.

Note:- if you accidentally press the Resume/Cancel button more than 4 times in
