NTL VS205 My VS205 has suddenly stopped taking ringing on incoming calls (Outgoing is OK) There is a message on the screen saying "03 MSG" which I assume is an error code but I have lost my manual. What can I do??? Pat

    Mine goes to voicemail too. Got the messages off by pressing mute/clear button (then TAD ON appears) and then pressing 2 to listen to messages and 0 to delete them. But can't get voice mail off

    I have NOT solved my problem but I have already joined your Premium service on 27/6/08 and paid through PayPal. Could be that two different parts of your organisation are not communicating with each other.

    Hope to hear from you or the other half soon.

O3 msg means you have 3 messges to answer, how to do this i am not sure, as this is what i am trying to find out if you find out please let me no many thanks

Does anyone know how to get it off the answering service? All my calls are going to answer phone.

    I got it!!! If you press clear/mute button TAD ON comes up. To turn your answer phone off just change it to TAD OFF. If you've got messages there, switch it to TAD ON and then press 2 to listen to your messages and 0 to delete them. Then change it back to TAD OFF.

Erase all incoming and outgoing text messages from the phone. Then take out the battery while the phone is on. This problem tends to happen when there are more than 2000 messages in the phone.

My computer refuses to change a message in Outbox to Send, leaving me with a queue ofunsent messages. I can receive incoming clls, but not send any out returner@ntl world.com
Make sure your SMTP (outgoing) server is set properly.
Are you on your own connection - or using a retail WiFi one?

Normally most WiFi servers reject outgoing mail.
You can GET mail - just not send any.
SMTP is blocked.
Pop3 (incoming) is allowed.

To check that the SMTP is set properly -

Open O/E, and navigate to the following screen....

Tools > Accounts > (Highlight the eMail account you are trying to send from).

Then click Properties

Click SERVERS tab.

It should say...
Outgoing Mail (SMTP): __________________________

In the blank it should say something like: SMTP.ntworld.com
(check with your service provider for the correct SMTP setting)

VS205 what does the flashing mail sign mean?
If you subscribe to call answer service with your phone company, a mail indicator might coincide with a stuttering dial tone, to indicate a message waiting. If on the Bell Canada network, dial *98 to check your voicemail. Once all new messages have been listened to, the dial tone will stop stuttering, and the indicator will hopefully follow suit.

found my old one
to switch ansaphone modes:
press clear/mute to get TAD ON(or TAD OFF) displayed, then
Answer + Record: TAD ON then press 7 then 1
Answer only (no msgs): TAD ON then 7 then 2
SORTED at last!! :-)
