Panasonic CF-18 toughbook. Reloaded the correct touchscreen driver. After calibration, when I hit enter, I get "error Dtm, please try again"

exact same issue, with a CF-29HTQGZBM, windows XP SP3, drivers downloaded from panasonics support site. Touchsreen works, but is out of calibration. Have tried disabling and re-enabling the touchscreen in the BIOS, and all Serial ports are on AUTO. Tried wiping the driver and reinstalling from a fresh copy downloaded from panasonic... same issue:

calibration allows me to go through the process (the 9 crosses on the screen you need to tap), but when I hit enter to finalize the new settings I get a message box labelled: "error Dtm"

    "parameter error. please input, again"

Has anyone else experienced this, or know of the solution?

I have the same issue on a Panasonic Toughbook CF-T2. Reloading the driver doesn't seem to help.

Try to clean all of the **** (dust and such) out of the void between the lcd bezel and the touchscreen. since they operate on pressure, like most touchpads, any debris caught in that void will make your touchscreen go berzerko

goto your device manager and then find your display driver and update it. Dont search for it, manually locate the driver being in the location where you extracted the driver. Then update. and bingo!
