Hi. I am just wanting to control the heat the manual way. I had someone come in to service my furnace and they set it for the week. How do I cancel that, and just have it so I can turn it up when I want,...

From the Operating Manual: _______________Manual Operation for Non-Programmable Thermostats Press the SYSTEM button to select Heat or Cool and use the [Up] or [Down] buttons to adjust the temperature to your desired setting. After selecting your desired settings you can also press the SYSTEM button to select AUTO to allow the thermostat to automatically change between Heat and Cool. _______________________Manual Operation (Bypassing the Program) Programmable Thermostats Press the [Up] or [Down] buttons and adjust the temperature wherever you like. Then press HOLD. This will override the program. The HOLD feature bypasses the program and allows you to adjust the temperature manually, as needed. Whatever temperature you set in HOLD will be maintained 24 hours a day, until you manually change the temperature or press RUN to cancel HOLD and resume the programmed schedule. ____________________________________________________ *Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, despite the handle. I want to install a new thermostat on my furnace, but the wire connections on the old thermostat are not marked. I have been unable to locate a diagram with wire labeling. Can you help?

Your t-stat has a override program on it look for the hold button and cancel the function. Should be able to just press the hold temp button and it will resume the normal program.

Honeywell Chronotherm IV Plus requires frequent resetting.

Check to see if you have wires going to a C/C1 terminal. The older chronotherms used a transformer to supply 24 volts to power the clock. If in fact you do have these terminals, then I would suggest checking the output voltage on the transformer, (secondary (24v)side) to ensure it isn't close to dead. Hope this helps
