Kodak C530 Digital Cameras

I have multiple c530 Kodak Digital Cameras, I have bought 2 different Polaroid SD Cards and neither would format. Am I doing something wrong?
Do the SD cards have to be Kodak Brand? Please Help.

No the Brand would not make any diffrence if the memory card doesnt get formatted on the camera itself u can try to format it on the computer............ Just insert the memory card into the camera connect the camera to the computer goto my computers there u will see the camera removable disk which is the memory card...... Right click on that click on format and format it........Then try to use it on ur camera i am sure it will work fine..............

The C530 uses MMC and SD cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to use MMC or SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

There are regular SD cards and high-capacity SD cards (HCSD). Some devices are not compatible with HCSD cards. It sounds like your camera is not compatible. You may still be able to purchase 2G & 4G regular format SD cards that will work fine.

I hope that helps.

SDHC 4gb card brings up error file e00100 in kodak c530

I would guess the camera is too old a model to read a card that big.
Also, not every model SD card will work in every model camera.
Sometimes the cameras are picky.

Check the recomended card list that is in the instructions for your camera if there is one. Call the dealer or the tech support to find out about a compatable SD card for your camera model. I have seen some models of cameras not respond to some types of SD cards even though the fit in to the socket.

The problem with the c350 is that it does not accept a memory card higher than 1GB! I found that out through the Kodak website and not in the User's Guide!
