Our Mitsubishi Mr. Slim split a/c unit is wall mounted and is leaking badly from the bottom left side inside our home. We have to use a bucket underneath the unit to catch the leak. Please help us to fix this problem.

Reason for water leaking.
1. Filter block. 2. Cooling coil block. 3. Alignment of indoor a/c unit is sloping downwards. 4. Drain pan block. It's advisable to service your unit first.

Check the code to see what that one means.

The codes are on the inside of the indoor unit cover. See this link to find them.

I have a terrible smell coming out of my Mitsubishi air-con.

after making sure it will drain properly the best way to permanently remove smells is to use a "ozone machine" or a ionizer this attacks the odor causing molecules and breaks them down. 30-60 minutes from a powerful unit will do the trick , most carpet cleaning companies that also do water repairs have these machines and their rates vary. alpine air also makes a home unit and these are good to use in the home 24/7 as well

Mitsubishi Mr Slim mini split outdoor unit fan.

Check the capacitor. Rating must be within 90% of rated microfarads. If it is a dual capacitor test between C and FAN. Set your meter to read microfarads (uF).

No heating from Mr slim

P8 refers to outdoor protection device activation usually caused by low gas charge or blocked condenser coil. any good a/c company can resolve this for you. however please note that if it is gas related a pressure test must be carried out to determine where that potential leak may be and that can be very costly.
