Question about Xerox Phaser 8500/DN Printer
Hi, I have a Xerox Phaser 8500. For last 5-6 months it was making wierd sounds while printing but still it was printing fine. Now suddenly it has stopped printing. I logged it off, hooked it off the power but nothing works.. When I turn the power on, red light flickers for some time and then turns to constant green and when I shoot a printout order, the light turns to red. In my computer, there's no indication of printing failure.
Any help to sort this out will be greatly appreciated.
It sounds like you need to check your addressing. Sounds to me like your IP address reset back to default.
You need to go into the network settings and check your IP address and make sure it is set to manual and not auto.
I believe your printer did a reset and your address is wrong.
